Finally! Helena Bonham Carter Reveals Daughter’s Name
Ever since the baby girl was born eight months ago, media outlets have speculated about all sorts of names for director Tim Burton and actress Helena Bonham Carter’s daughter, including at one point, Indiana Rose. In a recent interview with The Jewish Journal, Helena finally reveals that her daughter is in fact named Nell, in honor of "all the Helens in the family."
By paying tribute to her loved ones with the name choice — and including parts of her ancestry in the lives of Nell and the couple’s son Billy Ray, 4 ½ — Helena is hopeful that the children will willingly embrace their family history. She says,
I feel quite atavistic in the sense that I want them to know where they come from.

Baby Nell’s name has been out for quite a while now…this lady told us back in july (in the silver cross post) that the info was on imdb!!
“I was on imdb.com checking the filmography for Helena and in her bio they have the baby’s name as Nell. I don’t know if it’s right or wrong, it’s just what I saw. With or without a name she’s a beautiful baby!

I don’t think that’s the right use of the word atavistic, but anyway, cute.

After such anticipation I am extremely underwhelmed by the name, but to each his own! Nell Burton doesn’t move me one way or another – I sure hope they picked a better middle name

One of my favourite names!
Nell Burton is a great name. And I love that she’s named after her mother (and other relatives obviously) without being Helena Junior.

My sister’s name is Eleanor, so I”m quite partial to that name. Good choice to Helena. I love her.

Are we sure she doesn’t have Helena’s last name, thusly being Nell Carter?

I like Nell. My daughters name is Adele and sometimes it comes out with out the A…so it’s just Dell, which rhymes with Nell.
