"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

Found: Angelina Jolie’s Nightgown

Eileenwestlastellanightgownangeli_2

We found Angelina Jolie’s nightgown! Many of you were wondering where you could get the Victorian-inspired nightgown that Angelina wore in her twins’ debut in PEOPLE. It’s the "La Stella" nightgown by Eileen West, known for their classically romantic sleepwear. We found plus-size ($82) and short ($60) versions at Dillard’s, and a version under a different name at the Vermont Country Store, plus a matching robe, in white and lilac. It will be available on the designer’s site on a "on a first come basis" in October.

Apparently, Eileen West didn’t know that Angelina was wearing her nightgown until she saw the magazine like the rest of us. She said on the company’s website, "in many ways, Angelinaembodies the spirit and style of Eileen West sleepwear; she’s a naturalbeauty, a mother, a woman on the go who maintains a sense of grace."

The gown is described as a "sleeveless white woven ballet gown in an allover floral burnout designfeaturing a scoopneck with lace trim and pull-through ribbon detailthat ties, a buttoned placket and pleated yoke with lace inset.Pleating and a lace inset also accent the ruffled hem."

If you’d like to get in line for the gown, the site encourages customers to email their name and postal address to askus@eileenwest.com. The line is carried at Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor, Dillards, Macy West,Nordstroms, Macy Central, Macy Florida, Belk, Von Maur, and VermontCountry Store.

    nice

  2. Jade Says:

I really get a 70’s feeling from the Jolie Pitts. Brad looks like Robert Redford and Angelina looks an actress from this era. Plus with the kids it’s very earth mother, hippie ish . I don’t know just a feeling. Nice gown.

  3. trullesand Says:

just my opinion but i think that dress is just so not sexy…

  4. Erica Says:

It is a nightgown not a piece of lingerie, it’s not supposed to be sexy, haha. It’s cute! A little pricey for me but a nice piece.

  5. Meredith Says:

The “just so not sexy” comment made me laugh out loud. If I had two infants attached to my breasts every 3 hours; 4 older kids vying for my attention; and recovering from my 2nd c-section the last and I mean the very last thing I would be thinking about is looking sexy. It’s a pretty nightgown that provides easy access for nursing. Sexy? LOL

  6. Sally Says Says:

I love Eileen West’s gowns. They’re beautiful, very comfortable and I think they’re romantic. But I agree that I wouldn’t call them sexy.

I bought a few Eileen West gowns when I was nursing my daughter because they have working buttons on the bodice that made night nursing easy, but I could still wear a gown that I felt beautiful wearing.

  7. Sally Says Says:

I didn’t word my comment very well. I meant to say that the Eileen West gowns made nursing easy and I still felt beautiful and romantic wearing them.

BTW, thank you to Celebrity Baby Blog for posting the details on the gown. The gear info is one of the things I really love about this blog

  8. brooke Says:

I didn’t like that gown at all, not the least bit cute IMO

  9. eva Says:

Like one of the posters said above, I think this nightgown has a romantic look to it.It looks very cute but I wounder how comfy it is for sleeping, the fabric doesn’t look all that soft. However, I think it’s ideal for walking around the house in the morning, getting kids ready for school or having breakfast with them.

  10. MaríaM2 Says:

I love it and not because Angelina has it. I think it’s a splurge for my income bracket, but I would purchase it for the coolness, feminine flow, and it’s almost a house dress – moo moo…albeit prettier…feel to it.

I have always loved Angelina’s practicality and comfort with her clothing choices. Her lack of concern for others opinion about what she’s seen in is refreshing.

  11. Kayla Says:

How do they know what kind of bra she is wearing? …or are they talking about the model?

  12. Lauren Says:

Sexy? Not necessarily, though it sure beats an oversized T. Romantic? Definitely. I think it’s a nice nightgown with a very feminine top, and I’m sure that when you’re breastfeeding, especially twins, something as small as wearing something that makes you feel pretty goes a long way. I’m surprised the gown is so reasonably priced considering its status; I won’t be surprised at all if the price inflates and/or it sells out immediately.

  13. Mary Says:

The nightgown is feminine, romantic and pretty. Wearing something sexy in a photoshoot with your four young children would not be appropriate. However showing something pretty and functional (for breastfeeding twins)is. She will have plenty of opporutnities to show her edgy, sexy side, but this is her softer, mommy side.

On another note, her choices have given free advertising to quite a few companies. Cole Haan featured her comfortable shoes on their web site and now Eileen West is featuring her night gown. Cool.

  14. shiri Says:

CCB you could give the information about Shiloh’s tshirt “George”, please?

  15. sigh Says:

    Yay! Thanks CBB!

  16. MandyJean Says:

I have that nightgown too! When I saw Angie and the twins on the cover of People, I ran upstairs to my lingerie drawer and there it was!! I wore it for the birth of my daughter, Rafaella Grace. Its such a great gown to labor and then recover in. Such nice light cotton – for those women (like myself) who don’t want to labor naked – even though it would be more comfortable – this is the next best thing. You’re completely covered without the fabric being restrictive in any way. And then you look all kinds of ‘motherly’ cute in it as you lay back with your newborn. Go Angie!

  17. hmm Says:

I knew CBB would found out the clothes info! :)
It seems very plain to cost $60 & $82.

Also, I too would like to know the answer to Kayla’s question. It ’s easy for a designer to see her top/shirt/dress, but explain a bra!

  18. Rosy J Says:

When I first saw the pic I thought Angie looks so sweet and motherly. I adore that gown and the pic. So natural showing her side that I like the most. That of a “mom”. Precious.

  19. Danielle R Stewart Says:

Thank you for all of you who said that the night gown was not sexy. Last time I checked I didnt want to look like my grandma and this is something Granny would wear for sure. I think I will just stick to my good ol Victoria Secret

  20. Sally Says:

Just because a garment isn’t overtly sexy doesn’t mean you can’t feel sexy while wearing it! I remember at the time, wearing a gown that was long and flowy felt much sexier than wearing something short and tight!

The Eileen West gowns are pricey, but well made (I still have the ones I bought 4 years ago). The lace doesn’t itch and the cotton is soft and feels incredibly light and airy. They’re also a flattering cut if you’re not feeling quite as ‘perky’ as you did pre-pregnancy. ;-)

But I think that particular gown looks much better on Angelina than on Eileen West model. Angelina’s gown seems looser.

  21. Shaun Says:

I can’t imagine that people are so celebrity obsessed that they would run out and purchase a nightie just b/c a celeb was wearing it.

  22. marla Says:

um, angelina jolie would look sexy in a paper bag…seriously. i don’t think a nightgown can change that. but as a previous poster said, that has got to be the last thing on her mind.

    and the nightgown is lovely.

  23. Renee Says:

Shaun, I don’t think that’s the case here and the comments before yours prove that. It’s a beautiful gown and I was wondering myself where did she get it from. I doubt most of the people asking about the nightgown were doing it because of Angelina.

  24. Robin Says:

Sexy? She just recovered from a C-Section, has twins along with 4 other young children all under the age of 7 and she’s nursing 2 babies at a time and is probably very sleep deprived…give her a break! With that said, she looks fabulous…but then again she would look fabulous wearing a gown of burlap and of course being with Brad Pitt doesn’t hurt either!

  25. taegan Says:

If the “not sexy” commenters do not remember she just had a caesarean and is feeding two babies at the same time.

I think she is wearing it more for comfort, than sexiness.

  26. Sarita Says:

I’m not saying she should have worn something sexy, but if I were her I would have worn clothes instead of a night gown. It’s not like they rang the doorbell unanounced.

I think it’s a bit old for her too, but that’s just a matter of taste.

  27. stephanie Says:

I’ve seen Brad dressed in a minidress and Angelina in head-to-toe leather, yet I thought they both looked extremely sexy in the People pictures. They also looked like they haven’t showered for days and probably has baby spit all over them, but still, really sexy. Such is the power of Brangelina :D

  28. Autumn Says:

I like the nightgown because it looks comfortable and like something I might wear (and I’m a few months younger than Angelina), although I agree it is a bit pricy.

Personally I think Angelina was going for comfort and accessibilty for nursing vs sexiness, althugh Angelina being who she is, can make ANYTHING look sexy. lol!

Anyway, Jade I know what you mean! Brad & Angelina are totally like as if Robert Redford & Jaqueline Bissett had become a couple back 35 yrs or so ago. Sort of like this.

  29. terri Says:

I don’t think it looks old. Maybe old-fashioned, but that’s different from old. I think it looks romantic. I would wear it and I’m younger than Angelina. But not everything that I wear is about sex appeal.

  30. Silvermouse Says:

It looks a little too dumpy for me, I would have prefered Angelina in just a basic tee shirt, and pants. But then again, prefer pants and a top next to a nightgown anyday. I think People was trying to go for a more angelic look or peaceful look. Even so, not such a big fan of the nightgown.

  31. Adrienne Says:

I work at Eileen West. Eileen was delighted to see Angelina wearing one of her gowns for the cover of People and Hello magazine. The “La Stella” gown is part of her Eileen West Italian Romance collection which is now selling in many department stores and specialty stores. We are working hard to make more gowns available soon. Again, we were thrilled with the pictures.

  32. Judy Says:

ROTFLMBAO at the “gown isn’t sexy” comments. It’s not the gown that is sexy, it’s the woman wearing it. Angelina could make a Pillsbury flour sack with three Xs on it look sexy if you put her in it.
