Mabel’s Labels 411 Wristbands: Crowd Control
This summer, we entered unchartered territory with our 4-year-old Owen when his preschool started taking field trips on Fridays. Some were local, but others were a little more involved and stress-inducing, like a trip to an aquarium that’s over an hour away. The mom in me was worried, especially since Owen has autism and has a tendency to wander in crowded settings. I was thrilled to learn that Mabel’s Labels — a brand we already know and love in our home — has created 411 Wristbands ($21 for a pack of 30) for occasions just like this.
These waterproof, adhesively-sealed wristbands (available in four styles) can be personalized to include whatever information a parent chooses, so that if your child does happen to become lost your emergency contact information is at the ready. Simply tear off the wristbands as you need them, remove the adhesive backing, apply to your child’s wrist and send them on their way! There’s also room to include any pertinent medical information, like whether your child has a food allergy or — in Owen’s case — autism.
I like the 411 Wristbands and have recommended them to my friends because they really do give me peace of mind on those days where Owen is off having adventures without me. I also love that Mabel’s Labels is donating 10% of all sales of the 411 Wristband to the organization Autism Speaks. In this household, that qualifies as a win-win!
