"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

So cute! Violet’s smile is contagious; even over a computer screen. Isn’t it wonderful to see a happy child?

  2. Rosy J Says:

I want a little girl like Violet. Jen, please give me Violet. She is too cute for words. So adorable!

  3. N.S Says:

I absolutely LOVE how Jennifer carries Violet in her arms everywhere she gos, it’s a little sad to see toddlers still in their strollers – I believe that is why Violet looks SO happy when out and about.

What a cute mom and daughter team, I hope the next little one fits in well, and that Violet adjusts easily to having a little brother or sister.

  4. Stéph Says:

So cute Violet! She really has a contagious smile! Hope she adjust well to the new baby!

It seems that Jennifer is starting to have a hardest time carrying Violet because of the belly.

Can’t wait to see the new baby and hear the name!

  5. jory Says:

These two are just adorable! I love that Jen came out with her hair all wet! How down to earth is she!?! Cant wait for number 2! Hopefully its just as happy and Healthy as Violet!!!

  6. Liv Says:

N.s.- I never relized that Jennifer carried her that much. But now that I think about it I never see Violet in a stroller. Maybe that is one of the reasons she’s so happy.

  7. Natasha Says:

I actually see a resemblance to her Dad!!

  8. J Says:

I’m no expert, but I’ve noticed with my son that if you keep carrying a child around a lot they’ll expect you to pick them up whenever they want to be picked up. she should let her walk on her own once in a while

  9. Christa Says:

How wonderful is it to see an actress who is not COMPLETELY obsessed with looking perfect at all times. She seems like an average mom.

  10. kris Says:

These 2 are so cute together!

I always assume celebs are pictured carrying their kids most of the time because a pack of photo taking strangers are following them around.

  12. Danica Says:

I think Jen puts Violet down once they’re out of range of the paps, indoors, etc. By holding her outdoors she won’t miss what Violet is saying to her. It creates a happy, secure child who knows what she says isn’t being missed because of all the noise.

  13. Sarah Says:

Why is she always carrying Violet??? She needs to let that kid walk. I know the paps are there but she has a bodyguard. Plus as Jen gets bigger she’s not going to be able to carry her when the paps are there so let her get used to walking now.

  14. Stephany Says:

Seriously, people. It’s ridiculous to believe that Violet is carried 24/7. Obviously, she is put down and able to explore and do things on her own. We can see this from the fact that Jen is always doing things with her (i.e., looking at flowers, art class).

I know I’d carry my daughter if I was hounded by pap’s (even if I had a bodyguard). It’s scary the lengths they’ll go to in order to get a simple picture.

  15. Amy Says:

I carry my 2.5 year old quite a bit and I am 30 weeks pregnant. My belly is not that big of an issue and I figure it’s helping me burn a few extra calories and maybe keeping some of the excess weight off…hopefully! I don’t think it’s a big deal to be carrying you toddler at all. There are times when I am too tired or just don’t feel like carrying her and I just tell her that I am not going to carry her, but I will hold her hand and she listens to me without pitching a fit. Plus, I would be carrying her all the time if the Paps were hounding me!

  16. FC Says:

She’s stolen her mother’s smile for real in this photo! And she has the cutest dimples.

  17. me Says:

Stephany I agree with you :)
plus Violet is the cutest little girl in hollywood!
I can’t wait to see the new baby.

  18. molly Says:

guys i can kinda see why Jen carries violet alot. Look at it from her point of view…she s out with her toddler surrounded by paparazzi who are going to be more or less strangers and jostling each other for the best picture. Would you really want your little girl wondering around in the middle of this?

  19. Jeannie Says:

Not to mention that the paps are calling/shouting Violet’s name to get her to look at them. It must be overwhelming. And if she had to walk, they would all tower over her. That would be a scary thing for a child. Jen brings her up to their level and gives her a strong anchor.

  20. SH Says:

It’s so funny because every time there’s a picture of Jen and Violet it turns into the same discussion of Jen carrying Violet. What’s even funnier is that the reasons are obvious as to why she’s carrying her…paps, Violet’s safety, etc. Why do people keep hounding her? You’d think she was abusing Violet every day! Jen will have a new baby in a few short months and then she’ll have to carry the new baby and Violet will probably be walking. Let Jen enjoy her one-on-one time with Violet while she can! She’s ONLY 2 1/2…still very young. You’d think by some peoples comments that she was carrying around a 5 year old.

  21. christine c Says:

she is a fantastic mum and violet is always happy:)i hope she gets a boy

  22. Devyn Says:

Other celeb Moms like Katie Holmes seem to let their kids walk a lot more and they also have to deal with just as many paps, if not more. It’s her choice so whatever she wants to do with her own kid is her business. It was just a observation. I have this feeling she’ll still be carrying Violet around when she’s 12. LOL

  23. Bancie1031 Says:

I love little miss smile’s smile lol. In this picture Violet looks like she’s actually laughing making this one of my favorite recent pictures of Violet. And the fact that Jen isn’t all dolled up and still isn’t trying to hide makes this definitely one of my more recent favorite pictures also.

Devyn just for the record whenever Tom is out with Katie and Suri, Suri is being held. I have never seen a picture of ALL 3 where Suri is walking on her own, She’s always carried by either Katie or Tom.
Whenever Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are out and about together their smaller ones (and even older ones when the youngest aren’t there) are being held. Now while Angie was preggers with the twins I actually seen pictures of Shiloh walking (for a minute anyways before Angie picked her up).
Point being Jennifer isn’t the only one still holding/carrying her child even though said child is old enough and more than capable of walking on their own.
