Max Sutter’s First Birthday Bash!
A year after his early delivery by emergency c-section, Maxwell Alston Sutter has caught up, grown up, and is ready to party! Max, who celebrated his first birthday on July 25th, was the guest of honor on Saturday as Bachelorette star parents Trista and Ryan Sutter, along with a little help from MOMLogic, toasted their baby’s first year.
Working with Hostess with the Mostess, Trista chose a CandyLand theme for the party — then left the rest up to MOMLogic readers to decide! They chose the party favors, menu (sliders and snow cone french fries), a candy buffet, and chocolate cupcakes. The birthday boy, who had a small boo-boo on his cheek, dug right in!

Wow! Wonder if the little guy did that number on the cake on his own or if he had some help from the folks?:) If the former, Trista and Ryan had better prepare themselves for the terrible twos!

I did a Candy Land theme for my daughter’s second birthday. It wasn’t to such an extreme, but it was still a blast. I made the cake look like the gameboard, with starburst for the spaces.
He looks like a handful! How fun.

how fun! love the candy bar theme and the sliders and french fries in snow cones – i’ve used that once for a party too. it’s such a suprise and everyone’s favorite. max looks adorable. i can’t decide if he looks like trista or ryan yet – but definitely the best of both his parents – very cheerful and happy.

I guess I’m the odd man out. I think it is very strange that a couple that wants their privacy would have such a public party for Max’s first birthday.

Seems Max decimated that cake! Love the little triumphant smile of his, lol.
And I think Ryan looks better with his hair off, very closely cropped, than with it in those shaggier numbers he’s had.

I agree with you Andrea, I’m surprised they aren’t sick of the cameras by now. I dunno, maybe they’re getting paid for those “photo-ops”. By the way, their son is really tiny for one or is it just me?

Dannie he was born preemie and was ill, so yes he is small. Having had a preemie myself I am always happy to see them thrive.

I preferred Ryan with more hair and do not like buzz cuts at anytime but it is his choice. Nice to see that they are a happy family and that one bachelorette found her mate.

Max is so adorable! Just heard Trista and Ryan are going to christen a new boat for Princess to celebrate their fifth anniversary – I can’t believe they have been married for five years already! What a cute family!

he has grown so much! I love that he has actual hair now!!
