I’m a vague fan of Oasis but know little to nothing about the band members’ personal lives. Can someone give a brief synopsis of Liam and Noel’s attitudes? They seem notorious in the music world for being jerks, but all I know about specifically is Noel bad-mouthing Jay-Z (which he just apologized for). Just curious.

I think the reason that they have the reputation of being jerks is because they say what they feel about every subject. As a result the media know that if they ask certain questions they will get a good quote which will make headlines. He wasn’t slagging of Jay-Z he was saying that he didn’t feel he was the right act to headline, which was verified in the end as Glastonbury didn’t sell out for the first time in years.

Noel and Liam are cool, they just like to tell it like it is. If you want to know about their past from when they were kids – through 1996, you can check out their biography Brothers: From Childhood to Oasis : The Real Story by Paul Gallagher (yes its their older brother).
The brothers seem to be good dads to their kids, although Noel was a bit aprehensive about it at first, since his father treated him so badly sometimes as a boy.
If you want to see more pics of them with their families, kids, and so forth just go to the gallaries at Oasisfanatic.com
