Pierce Brosnan Wants His Kids to Feel Loved
Mamma Mia’s Pierce Brosnan was raised without a father, and the experience has driven him to make sure that his kids — including sons Dylan Thomas, 11 ½, and Paris Beckett, 7 ½ — "feel like they belong" and "know the love of family." In fact, that’s what makes him tick, the 55-year-old explained. "I’m very aware of how precious the time with my children is."
Capitalizing on that time together, the actor spends time with his sons painting and learning how to surf, making pancakes each morning and going on picnics. He and his wife, journalist Keely Shaye Smith, 44, have also turned their sons into little environmentalists, sharing that "the boys know how to compost all the food, and it goes into the garden."
Pierce is father to Sean, 24 — his son with his first wife, the late Cassandra Harris. Pierce also adopted Cassandra’s two children from a previous marriage — Charlotte, 36, and Christopher, 35.
