Diane Farr Shows Off Twins’ Ballerina-Themed Nursery

Diane_farr2Joking that pregnancy is "the one time in your life when you can gain 50 pounds and people congratulate you," actress Diane Farr admits that when an ultrasound revealed twins, "I said a lot of expletives."

Then I realized it was all about organization. Now I’m pretty much prepared. If you open up any drawer in the room, they’re filled for until the girls are 2!

Describing how she chose to decorate the girls’ nursery, Diane, 38, explains her rules: "You should splurge on a really high-end piece, then one medium piece, and a bunch of things to fill in.” For her more expensive items, Diane picked out Posh Tots chandelier and lamps; for her mid-range items, Serena and Lily sheet sets. For furniture, she turned to Bratt Decor for their Venetian Crib in gold (Diane already had one she used with Beckett, so she added another to her nursery) and the Chelsea Double Dresser in espresso. We also hear the babies’ room has a Moses Basket from Posh Tots, plus cute pink outfits from Bloomers Baby, all of which came in Diane’s celebrity "BUMP" bag. (In fact, Diane used a gift certificate from the bag toward the purchase of her lamp and chandelier at Posh Tots.)

The former Numb3rs star and husband Seung Chung expect their twin daughters by the end of this month. The girls will join big brother Beckett Mancuso, 17 months.

Boy, is she going to be tired! TWIN girls and a very little toddler. What a lucky lady!Too cute and she looks great!

  2. Jay Says:

She looks good…she is carrying very well.

  3. emmajlh Says:

Is there only 1 crib in this nursery? do you suppose they will share untill they are a few months old?

  4. Erica Says:

I think there’s two cribs, the other one must be on the opposite side of the dresser/changing table. Maybe there are more pics in the magazine.

I really like how Diane used the tulle as a bedskirt on the daybed! Looks great.

  5. jacky Says:

she looks good for carrying twins. i wish her and her family the best of luck

i am not to sure about the nursery. the colors are kind of strange and the face behind the crib is creepy to me. but i think having a bed in there is a great idea! i am sure she will be sleeping in there many nights with her twins

  6. jaye Says:

I love the nursery! It is perfect for a little girl without pink decor overkill, yet still very feminine. It reminds me a little of Ali Landry’s baby room for her daughter Estela (my favorite baby room)! J.Lo had a similar theme too! Love it, love it, love it!

  7. steph Says:

can you imagine having a chandelier in your babies room? I would love to see the rest of their house!

  8. erica alayne Says:

I love this room! I like the fact that there is some of the traditional ‘girly’ pinkness, but the color of the walls and the accent colors keeps it from being too candy-looking.

I can’t wait to see the girls!

  9. Bren Says:

I love this room!!! so feminine, yet classy.

Now I have a dumb question..he he…why put a bed in the nursery? To sleep there with the babies?

  10. Gigi Says:

the room is precious although i personally would not like the idea of those big eyes over the crib staring at me from some point in the room.
other than that, its great. i love the tulle bedskirts.

  11. MissAllisonJenny Says:

I find the giant face kind of creepy. I’m not crazy about the dark green, pink and gold. Congrats to them on the twins, though : )

  12. mslewis Says:

I love the room colors!! Really different. I think the room will be really soothing for the babies.

I think the bed might be so mommy can take a little nap during the day while the babes are sleeping. And later another bed can be added for the girls “big girl” beds.

I have no idea who this person is but she looks good pregnant!!!

  13. Corie Says:

I like that the room is very feminine but i’m finding it quite cold for a baby’s room.

I thing the bed is a good idea, though. Congrats anyways !

  14. Avery Says:

LOVE the navy mixed into the room! So much better than the standard pink on everything, from the walls, to the bedding, etc.

  15. Stephany Says:

Oh, I so love this room! It is so feminine yet stylish. Not too pink and girly. I love it.

  16. Sammy-xx Says:

Love that nursery – my favorite one so far

I had the big bed in my room when I was born for my mum or dad too sleep on every now and again and as soon as i got too big for my cot i just moved straight into that

I have no idea who she is, but she’s my hero. A two year old boy and twin girls

  17. terri Says:

More twins? My goodness! I missed this twins announcement.

  18. kristen Says:

I always love seeing the pictures of the nursery before the kid comes home. Give that room a few weeks, pillows on the floor, stack of diapers on the changing table, spit rags over the crib rails. Or was that just my kids room??

  19. Mary Says:

what a gorgeous nursery. love the theme. somewhat over-the-top, but in a nice way.

  20. brannon Says:

Absolutely love it! Love the navy with pink and gold accents! Very classy and elegant. Exactly what i would do! (and I also had a chandelier in my babies room! — of course, i think it’s pretty common now. All of the baby catalogs are filled with them. )

  21. kaity Says:

former numb3rs star is she not comeing back

  22. Xan Says:

Love the family pics in the room. I can imagine her trying to soothe the girls by pointing out the pics. And I agree, the face is a bit creepy to me, but maybe an infant will love it:)

  23. Stéph Says:

Is it her face on the picture?? In my opinion, it’s a bit scary for a kids’ nursery.

  24. Stéph Says:

Are the girls going to sleep in the same crib? I know that some parents do that, but they normally still buy 2 cribs.

  25. FC Says:

I like the simplicity, and the layout and colors are great! It’s a cute nursery. :)

  26. Mary Says:

When twins are born it is usual to put both in the same crib when you bring them home. They are used to being together and they sleep much better when they remain close when they are born. Most people will even put the twins together if they are different sexes. Its a matter of security for the babies.
