Jennifer Garner invited her "Spy Daddy" Victor Garber, 59, along to her prenatal appointment on Monday in Los Angeles. The Alias costars lunched at Orso before heading to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for the visit.
Jennifer and husband Ben Affleck, both 36, expect their second child this winter.

I think it’s wonderful that they’ve remained so close and he’s like a second father. She even brought him along to her prenatal visit.
Though, I don’t know if I’d do that, not even with my own father! I’m not that brave, and way too private to have him there. The baby’s father, yes, but just not my father. He can come after I’ve had the baby, lol.

Alias – BEST SHOW EVER!
I saw Victor Garber once in Boston. He was walking though the mall. I just watched him walk by open mouthed. I would have though it wasn’t him except another guy I was with said “isn’t that the guy from Titanic?”

FC, at first I thought the same thing too (that I’d be uncomfortable bringing someone other than my DH to a prenatal visit), but then I remembered that all those visits in the middle of my pregnancy were very G-rated. The doctor listened to the baby’s heartbeat, and measured my tummy, checked my weight, etc., but I was fully dressed for the whole appointment.

Why would it be private or not that “brave” to have Victor accompany Jen to the doctor? He’s a good friend just lending support and it’s not like he’s going into the examining Room with Jen and the doctor. He’s sitting in the waiting room looking at a stale copy of Ladies’ Home Journal.

Maybe it was the BIG ultrasound appointment. Maybe Ben couldn’t go…who knows that she was even there for an appt. is there any confirmation that she had an appointment at all or is that just speculation?
I just think it’s awesome that they have such a close relationship!! I loved Alias…

I thought I had heard somewhere that Jen said if they had another baby and it was a boy, they waned to honor Victor Garber and name the baby somehow after him? So perhaps it is a boy this time, and they’re bringing him along to see the baby on the ultrasound? Also, isn’t he one of Violet’s godparents?

I also think it is great how close those two are.
And by the way, I think that Victor Garber was the ONLY one attending their wedding, which definitely says how close they really are (besides this appointment now, of course).

Oh wow! Sydney and Jack Bristow. How nice to see them together. Love them. I read an interview somewhere in which Victor said Jen has always taken of him even though he played her dad on their Alias show. I guess she is like the daughter he never had. I think it’s beautiful how close he is to the whole Garner-Affleck family.
Jen is so cute pregnant. Where on earth is Violet? I really miss her. She is my favorite.

Susan, I believe DH stands for “Darling Husband.” That’s the only thing I can think of. Anyone correct me if I’m wrong.
Jen is just stunning. She’s one of my fav’s. I love how close she is with Victor Garber. That’s really sweet.
