Quote of the Day: Matthew McConaughey Says “We’re a Family Now”
He may be the recipient of such titles as PEOPLE’s 2007 "Bachelor of the Year," but new dad Matthew McConaughey is now a reformed family man. He tells People.com,
"I always wanted to be a father and thought it would be great, but itjust took the right woman and the right time to make it all happen. [Camila] is the love of my life. We’re a family now. I see thefuture and it’s clearer to me. Walking around with this coolresponsibility all the time, it’s a wonderful thing."

I swear, he makes the nicest comments about Camila and Levi. It’s just so sweet and refreshing to hear. I have to say though, although I don’t mean it in a nasty way, I didn’t realize how “serious” they were before she became pregnant. I don’t know how long they were together and I had never read any comments from him regarding their relationship or declaring his love for her, but I think overall he’s a pretty private person. So when she got pregnant I thought it was one of those little suprises in life
and didn’t realize how committed and in love they are. It’s very sweet and I love reading that she’s the love of his life and how he loves the responsibility of being a father and having a family. Way too sweet and they make a beautiful family

so marry her already! I know I know marriage isn’t for everyone, and I certainly don’t advocate it for the latest high-profile teens who flunked their abstinence-only sex-ed courses, but really. Let Camila enjoy the rights married folk are entitled to. Life is unpredictable!

Camila and Levi make a lovely addition to Matthew’s game-day attire. I’ve stood near him on the sidelines at a UT game during the days when he REALLY didn’t groom himself, and she has cleaned him up a bit. I love Camila in her Longhorn shirt, and the coordinating orange and white sling. I’ll have to get one of those for my next Longhorn baby.

I love Camila’s tops, both the Longhorn one and the white sweater she has over it. Anyone know where to find them?
That sling is beautiful too; I wonder if it’s uncomfortable? I’ve only ever used two-shoulder carriers.
Anyway, they’re a cute family.
It’s great that they’re indoctrinating Levi into the fandom early!

Cute couple! Camila seems to have a mature presence. She looks a lot older than her age-but not in a bad way. I hope these two get married and live happily ever after.

I love this picture, its stunning. I like how they both wear the similar outfits.
Im not sure though if i like the sentence “Camilla is wearing Levi ….” I dont think people wear children. I would rather imagine they carry them.

molly the term is babywearing so i think saying shes wearing him is correct. thats what I always said if i had the baby in a carrier.
sigh i like the pouches and found them comfortable. once they are about five months i switch to hip carry rather than cradle like camila has levi. but so nice not to have to carry around a carseat or stroller. very easy for me.

thanks for clearing up the wearing comment brandi. i was confused myself. i thought perhaps the word should be carries instead of wears, but now that i know the term for carrying in a pouch/sling is babywearing that makes more sense.
does anyone know if using a sling is better or worse for your back than a 2 shoulder carrier? i have scoliosis and i know carrying my baby could very well make it worse, so i want to choose the best carrier/wearer (?) possible. thanks!

I love how he professes his love for her and how their child has made them even tighter as a couple.Thats so great to hear I hope he continues to be good to them both and vice versa.I hope he pops the questions to her,lol.

I’m in Australia so I’m not sure what the weather is like over there, but I had a summer baby and always found it too hot to use a sling – such a shame, as I’d always imagined my baby snuggled up in one. Camila and Levi always look so comfy together. Sigh.

I am a Tar Heel fan, and was spending the day in Chapel Hill a few weeks ago, just stocking up on gear for football season, and they had a shirt just like the long horn one she has on, except it was Carolina….so maybe you could check some Longhorn fan gear websites, or stores if you live close enough.

I never tried a ring sling, but I always love the way the baby looks so comfy. I’ve been a wrap mama, but I think next baby I’ll try a ring sling. And I think I’ll try to find a way to make it a PSU sling! Way to wear that baby AND enjoy a football game!
