Why We’re Loving Peg Perego Prima Pappa Best Highchair

Peg Perego Prima Pappa Best Highchair

The aptly-named Peg Perego Prima Pappa Best Highchair ($229), with its ultra-soft ‘Prima Classe’ upholstery, unique storage solutions and ease of use, has me singing its praises. The high chair seat comes available in two shades — Paloma, a butter creme tan, or Nuvola, a light grey. Although the fabric really does look like leather, it’s not, and I was able to easily wipe baby food off of it. The Prima Pappa Best arrives fully-assembled and took just two seconds to unfold. The cushy seat has four positions and there are seven heights to choose from.

The double tray is actually a tray with an insert along with a cupholder that snaps easily over the main tray. Both are dishwasher safe. When you’re done with the double tray, simple clean it and hang it on the back legs; it attaches and detaches neatly from the two bolts on the back legs. There is storage for clean bibs or utensils in the mesh storage pocket on the back of the seat. As for safety features, the five-point harness was easily adjustable and very secure — it will deter even the best of the baby Houdinis. You can also lock the back wheels, which is a great feature to have when your toddler wants to push the high chair around the apartment!

This chair is great if you have a large place. I have to admit my son only sat in it for 3 months before he pitched a fit and had to sit in a booster. I am hoping baby #2 will like it better.

  2. hbg22 Says:

A highchair should never cost $229. Nothing could possibly justify such a price. In spite of all the features, ultimately it’s a piece of plastic.

  3. SY Says:

Had this high chair 7 years ago w/my first in black “leather.” He used it until he was over a year and then my second used it. We like clean modernish furniture so it was the aesthetic that appealed to me. At the time it was only $129 and my only two complaints were that the tray stains a bit and food gets everywhere in this seat. For our version (which I think was one of the earliest) the bolted the harness and “leather” down so I had to really reach and pry to get the gunk out.

I bought 2 high chairs at ToyRus for $59 each-special sale. They look just as good as the overly priced ones and I keep ckng with them when they have special sales. Don’t be a sucker and pay high prices when you don’t have to.

Am I only supposed to say cute and nothing else! People do have an opinion but it doesn’t count on this website.

  6. Karyn Says:

This highchair is enormous. My sister-in-law has this highchair and even in her big spacious house it takes up a lot of space.

  7. MB Says:

i enjoyed the highchair gallery. i hope you/people do these galleries for other products (like strollers, car seats, and cribs). i sent the link to my husband for him to look over and it’s given us some ideas of what kind of designs or brands we might want in a high chair.

  8. Jennife Says:

We had this high chair for my first child. I gave it away as soon as I could! It was impossible to keep clean…WAY too many crevices for food to gather and very difficult to remove the padding and straps for cleaning.
