Delilah if you click on the link for the pacifier in this posting you will also see someone on the site where they sell this pacifier say how her baby choked on it. You should look into it.

My 9 month old has a pacifier like that, and I don't know how on earth he could suck that whole thing in his mouth.
I do worry about his choppers though..
Mine loves chewing/gumming the side of it.

Those pacifiers aren't supposed to be used after a certain age. It says on the package that an older baby can suck the whole thing in it's mouth. That is why you are supposed to switch to the ones with the plastic on the outside.
