Actress Katie Holmes toted 2-year-old daughter Suri as they made their way to the indoor children’s gym at Chelsea Piers on Tuesday in NYC. The family has been staying in the Big Apple while Katie, 29, prepares for her role in All My Sons, opening this month.

Why does Katie constantly dress like it’s November in the dead of summer? Every time I see a picture of her in NYC she’s wearing full-length jeans, scarves, closed toed flats, and/or long-sleeve shirts and sweaters. Meanwhile, Suri’s wearing lightweight dresses. Is she cold blooded or something?

Finally, some cozier play clothes for Suri. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to jump into the “should Suri wear dresses all the time” debate, I love her dresses and find nothing wrong with them. I just think this outfit looks like a more suitable choice for a trip to a children’s gym (and she still looks adorable!)

So glad to see Suri without that baby bottle. Last few pics I saw of them she didn’t have it. I think the time she spends alone with Katie is really showing it’s rewards.

wendy in the army- I think Katie might just be one of those people who tends to get cold easily. Similarly, Suri may have a tendancy to get hot really quickly. I am the exact same way. Some people are simply more “cold blooded” and others more “warm blooded”.
It’s also possible that Suri is the type of toddler who absolutly hates having to wear a coat and takes it off every chance she gets.

I personally don’t like seeing parents all bundled up and kids in tanks (or sleeveless shirts). If it’s cold enough for you to have on a long sleeve sweater and a scarf (no matter how warm blooded your child is) your child should have more on. Not saying that Suri needs a winter jacket and scarf like mommy but maybe a thin little sweater (like we see Violet Afflect wear a lot) or jacket or even a long sleeve shirt on. Don’t get me wrong I’m not questioning Katie’s parenting but this is just IMO

I think shes cute. as far as her wearing dresses all the time I have a lil girl around her age.. I put her in shorts and a tshirt while camping she went in the bag and brought me a dress and started undressing so maybe she just likes wearing dresses and as far as her not being bundled up.. its been kinda hot up here and it was 88 in new york on Tuesday.. Dont really think it was weather to be bundled up..

I understand the whole thing where some people are cold some are not, but this is an ongoing thing with Katie. She’s always dressed head to toe – scarf included and Suri has on a sundress. I can’t figure it out. Plus it’s been in the high 80’s all week, no one could want to wear a long sleeve black knit top with a scarf in that weather! I don’t get it.

I had a friend who had lost a bunch of weight training for a marathon. She told me she had to put some pounds back on because she was so skinny (not her words but mine) that she was cold all the time. I think Katie is thinner now that prior to having Suri so maybe she gets cold often. Suri on the other hand is always on the go. I’m sure she’s plenty warm considering it’s still summer in NY. And I am one to roll my eyes when I see kids out in the cold weather with no jacket and their parents are bundled up.

Bancie1031 and lo- Like Kris said, Katie might just be one of those people who feels cold all the time.
Also, it’s possible that she just likes being “covered” all the time. My dad is actually very similar to her that way. While you won’t find him wearing even a jacket (even a light one) in the summer time, he almost always wears long pants, no matter what the weather.
About the only time he wears shorts is when it’s super hot or when he knows he’s just going to be hanging out around the house and not going out in public. He has also been known to wear a sweater or sweatshirt occasionally in the summertime.
Part of this is because he is generally “cold blooded” and part it is because he simply prefers not to show very much skin. It’s very possible that Katie is the same way.

That could be CelebBabyLover but we seen her not to long ago wearing a sundress (Katie). Now during the summer this doesn’t bother me as bad as it does during the winter. I personally don’t know what the weather was in New York on the day this picture was taken, for all we know she could have been having a dress rehearsal and she took a quick break without changing idk ….. I just think if it’s that cold that she has to have all of this on maybe she should put a little more on Suri. After all children are smaller than us and don’t hold their body temperature as well as we do.

I’ve noticed a clothing discussion every time a picture of Katie Holmes and Suri is posted. Not to be rude but why you guys care so much? She’s obviously a well-taken care of child and her parents seem to pay special attention to her needs. We don’t know the circumstances of these photos nor whether Katie merely wears so many warm clothes to protect herself from paparazzi critiques of her body or possible pregnancy.
