WeeRide Kangaroo Child Bike Seat: Take Your Kid Along For the Ride
WeeRide Kangaroo Child Bike Seat |
One of my favorite things to do with my 3-year-old in the summer time is ride my bike with her to the beach in the mornings. I was desperate to try out one of those front-mounting bike seats I kept seeing around town but the first one I tried proved not to work well with our particular bike and tall daughter. Finally we discovered the WeeRide Kangaroo Child Bike Seat and have been happily riding to the boardwalk every morning since.

How do you manage to sit comfortably in the front seat when someone is hoovering over you?

Is this kid’s helmet on backwards?

Why is there a complete rod goinf from the steer to the saddle? That will make it uncomfortable to get on.
In the Netherlands almost everyone using front bike seats and it is just a seat that you attach to the steer, not any extra parts.
That way the seat will also be further forward making it more comfortable for the mother/father.

The reason why there is a rod going from the seat to the steer is to secure the seat in place and, more importantly, to distribute the weight evenly so that the child’s weight is not all on the front of the bike (which would make it more dangerous for the rider).
I can assure you that it is NOT difficult to get on and off the bike, nor is it difficult to ride (I do not “hover” over my child. The only difference I notice when this bike seat is on as opposed to when I am riding alone is that I have to point my knees out a few degrees further — again, not uncomfortable.
I go on a 10+ mile ride every morning with this bike seat and really love it.
