This article is a little misleading because of how they cut out what they wanted. I’m pretty sure the full article mentions how she makes sure that she calls her daughter at least once a day and also keeps in contact through IM.
Also, her going away to the UK to work is not something she does all the time. And the only reason she doesn’t take her daughter with her? She doesn’t want to disrupt her schooling. Wow, a hollywood mother being sensible for one.

It comes with the job. I don't judge her for it. She's not going to be gone more than couple of months to film a TV movie, not unlike Dara Torres having to be in China for 2 months from her daughter. I think it's silly to insinuate she's going to mess up her marriage for working. I think it sets a postive example to children when a mother makes the choice about working that is going to make her happy. Your life doesn't stop when you become a mother. Women now have the opportunity to work and that's ok. Women also have the opportunity to be SAHMs and that's ok too. I don't think we should criticize women for whichever choice they make.</p> </div>
