Little Levi’s Vintage: Denim for Your Little Cowpoke!

Tags: Celeb Style

What could be more adorable than kids decked out in mini jeans and jean jackets?  Apparently Julia Roberts thinks the rough and ready Levi’s brand is just right for her super active brood. She’s got her almost 4-year-old twins, Finn and Hazel Moder, in Little Levi’s Vintage ‘Indiana’ jackets ($120) and ‘Ramshackle’ jeans ($150), and says they couldn’t be any cuter than when they’re in their tiny Western wear.

Levi’s Vintage for tots and their parents are available at levisstore.com or at any Levi’s store. You can also call 1-800-USA-LEVI.

We admit that’s a lot of moola for jeans and jackets that won’t be worn long, so we turn to a framer like Art Services of Melrose for a simple frame or even a plexi-box to show off tiny jeans when kids have outgrown them. It’s a hipper take on the bronzed baby shoes and makes for a fun bit of décor in their rooms. It’s all about the multi-tasking.

Note: Julia received this as a gift from Levi’s.

Are you kidding me?! $150 for a jean jacket and $120 for a pair of jeans for a kid?! A child who will hit a growth spurt and not be able to wear them more than a handful of times?!

That’s absolutely insane and wasteful. She’s been on a green kick because she wants to make the world better for her children, but she’ll throw away money on something as frivolous as that?! That’s dog don’t hunt.

I understand she makes millions per movie and can spend that kind of money if she wants, but to me, that’s the height of hypocrisy, foolishness, glutony and just being plain wasteful.

Changes my views and opinion of her altogether and not for the positive.

Paying $120 for a childs pair of jeans and $150 for a childs jean jacket that they’ll outgrow in the blink of an eye is ridiculous.

It would be nicer to see her spend her money and celebrity backing up what she claims to support, green uses. Why not take a pair of her own jeans or jackets and have them made into items for her kids to wear? That would be a better use of her financial resources and more endearing recycling.
