She is so precious – looks so much like her handsome Dad. And he looks so devoted.
There are more pictures on another site and in one of them she is looking up at him with this devilish look on her face. I suspect she has him wrapped around her little finger. I hope he and Sibi have another baby.

Isn’t her name Emmaline? Just wondered, because when I heard it for the first time I remember thinking what a sweet and old fashioned name it is. Almost a mix between Emily and Caroline.

I believe his rep told Entertainment Tonight that they had the child’s name wrong without telling them what the right one was. It might have been a spelling thing (I’ve seen people use Emmaline and Emmeline) or the name may just be entirely wrong. Christian and Sibi never released it, so it could be an incorrect rumor that just stuck.
Anyway, Christian and his girl are lovely together.

what’s wrong with knowing her name? it’s so frustrating that celebs do that.it’s not just denying the media, but the fans as well.why bother becoming famous at all?

I find it bizarre that some celebrities don’t release their kids names, mainly because I don’t see what they are really achieving from it. If they believe their child will keep anonymity by not telling the world their name, they are obviously mistaken, if anything it increases interest until people know. I just really don’t get the purpose of not saying anything. Also, in the case of this family, as much as I respect Christian’s acting talent, it’s not as if they’re Brangelina, they can walk down the street largely unnoticed a lot of the time. It doesn’t really bother me whether they tell people the little girl’s name, I just find the whole secrecy thing interesting! She’s very cute though.

I dunno, I kind of understand them not releasing her name. Wasn’t there just a celeb who was complaining about how creepy it is when people on the street call our to her child like they know the kid? It could be confusing for a little child. You’re taught to stay away from strangers, and then some creeper knows your name and pretends they know you? Not an issue for a teen, but could be for a young child.
Ang, Christian is famous, but his daughter didn’t ask for that. I don’t think fans are entitled to know everything about a star. Yes, by becoming famous they give up some of their privacy, but as many other stars have said, their children did not make that choice.

Ang, I don’t think being his fan entitles us to know personal details in his life. People become stars so that you can appreciate their work, not so that they have to relinquish every shred of privacy. He’s still entitled to keep things (especially details about his children!) to himself. We aren’t being ‘denied’, he doesn’t owe us a thing.

Christian has tried hard to be an actor rather than a movie star. Let’s remember he was once the little boy who snuck out and ran away from press conferences in distress. He didn’t even have a publicist for at least half of his career.
He has also talked about how keeping things private keeps them special and how an actor is a more effective performer if the public does not know him/her as themselves.
Since he is so private himself and hated public attention as a kid, I’m not surprised if he goes a bit extreme in shielding his daughter from the public.

Danielle – The reason they can walk up and down the street unnoticed is because they keep to themselves for example not releasing their daughter’s name. He believes his personal life is his and to be kept private. Brangelina is very open with theirs.
