Michelle Williams — who celebrates her 28th birthday today — held 2 ½-year-old daughter Matilda Rose’s hand as they looked both ways before crossing the street Monday morning in Brooklyn. Dad is the late Heath Ledger.

Wow, Mathilda is such a tall one for 2.5. I can’t help but notice the lack of a hat or sunglasses considering Michelle is wearing sunglasses and it is obviously a sunny day. Guess that is what happens when one went to the eye doctor yesterday and was told the importance of wearing sunglasses from a young age.

Also, DLR, have you ever tried keeping a pair of sunglasses on a toddler? If they want them off, they’re staying off!

I think they are such a cute mom/daughter duo. What I admire the most is how Michelle Williams tries ever so hard to make Matilda’s daily life average and normal.
