Kelly Ripa Says Kids Are Helpful Around The House

When it comes to housework, Kelly Ripa isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty in an effort to get her laundry clean. Proudly proclaiming herself the "laundress" of the house, the 37-year-old actress and talk show host tells OK! that she finds the process "therapeutic."

"I’m very good at keeping my whites white and my darks dark and I enjoy it."

While mom is busy fluffing and folding, Michael Joseph, 11, Lola Grace, 7 and Joaquin Antonio, 5 — Kelly’s children with husband Mark Consuelos — pitch in around the house, as well. Michael is on "dish detail" and takes out the garbage, Kelly says, while all three kids are responsible for making their beds each day. The help hasn’t gone unnoticed by Kelly, who raves "they’re really good, I have to say."

   What? This almost made me laugh! Do we all need to stand up and applaud Kelly for doing her family’s laundry?

   DSmom I totally agree. She seens to always try to get attention by saying, she bakes, does laundry,picks up her kids from school etc, etc, it’s like who cares people everyday for tons of years have done that lol. If you do it than great, millions of women and men around the world do too, and if you hire someone to do it, that’s also fine too because you are rich and if you don’t want to do laundry, there’s nothing wrong with that either.

   i believe the point she is trying to make is that she is just like any of us, and although she can afford the help…..she’s the kind of mother and wife most of us are, and does it her darn self. no shame in that.

   I aplaud Kelly for this, even though I don’t have kids. More mums should make their kids help out around the house. It’s nice to know that there are parents like her out in the world other than the ones who spoil their children rotten.

   Some people tend to pick on every celebrity and only see the bad no matter what they say or do. Kelly Ripa has enough money to pay someone to serve her coffee every morning at bed and to never ever get her own hands dirty. Yet, she chooses to do some of these slightly boring household chores by herself and involves her kids and by doing so, teaches them to not get all too high and mighty just because their parents are on TV. How is this a bad thing?
   Kudos for Kelly!
