Frankie Benioff and Frannie Bateman Have a Playdate!

Amanda Peet brought her 19-month-old daughter Frances ‘Frankie’ Pen to Coldwater Canyon Park on Saturday, where they met up with Amanda Anka and her daughter Francesca ‘Frannie’ Nora, 22 months, for a playdate. The girls played on the equipment before settling down with some sidewalk chalk so the moms could chat!

Dads are author David Benioff and actor Jason Bateman.

   that’s interesting. i would have thought the nicknames were the other way around. i know someone named francesca who goes by frankie and all the frannie’s i’ve ever met are actually frances but it works the other way too! anyway, gorgeous mothers and gorgeous baby girls.

   I think that Frances is all daddy, especially the eyes. Now all that’s missing is little Violet Affleck, who really should return Francesca’s call .

   Frances would be ‘Frannie’ as ‘Fran’ is the begining of her name and Francesca would be ‘Frankie’ as Franc (although spelt with a c instead) is the begining of her name.

   Very cute girls. It does seem like the nicknames should be opposite, but Amanda calls Frances Frankie after a book character she loves, and Jason calls Francesca Frannie in interviews.

    Now those are two awesome moms with two very cool tots. They look like the kind of people you could just go hang out and have a relaxed cup of coffee with at the playground. It’s really nice to see.

    And, Frankie and Frannie are just too cute for words.
