"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

In a new interview with PEOPLE, Jennifer Lopez reveals that despite going nanny-free for months, she and husband Marc Anthony recently hired one to help with twins Max David and Emme Maribel. "I [took care of the twins alone] for a long time, but we started using a nanny a few weeksago," shares Jennifer, 39. "I get up early with them. Then whenthe nanny comes, I can take a shower and give them their breakfast. She’s there to help me get things done."

Jennifer says those early mornings — and late nights — with her 7-month-old babies are the best part of the day. "When they see you and have that big smile on their face — I live forthat," she says. "And when I put them to bed at night and they melt inyour arms. I give them a bottle and wind it down. I say, ‘It’s time forbeddy-bye.’ I hold them and sing a little song. By the time you knowit, they are asleep."

As for getting back to work, Jennifer’s taking it all one day at a time. "It’s gonna be a learning experience. How will I do both [work and mothering]? I try to takebreaks from work. I’ll do a little work with thechoreographers and then come back. I try to spend every free momentwith the babies."

The singer-actress says she’s not too worried about her post-baby figure. "The triathlon really helped get me in better shape, and snapped me back into my body," she says, referring to last weekend’s Nautica Malibu Triathlon."I don’t weigh myself a lot. I still have 10 lbs., or so. [But] I don’thave any problems with it. I never felt I had to get rid of it." Besides, she shares "Marc loves the way I look! We love to eat!"

There is nothing better than your child smiling at you…

  2. Brandi Says:

I am not surprised she finally hired one! Twins are hard work.

I know that the nanny comments are going to start soon but I just wanted to point out ahead of time that celebs hiring nannies (in most cases – not all) is not any different than our kids going to daycare so we can work. I think it is great that they can afford them and have someone in the kids’ own environment without the paps around or trying to get in like they could at a daycare. We have no idea how fortunate we are that our babies are not subjected to that. I think that she waited long enough trying to have children that she wouldn’t let a nanny “raise” her kids like some celebs out there….

There’s nothing wrong with a nanny, how else are parents supposed to work without help and what celebrity doesn’t have a nanny nowadays. What’s weird of her to say is that she did it alone for a long time lol. Her twins are only 6 months and if she got a nanny a few weeks ago they were 5 months, so that’s comsidered a long time lol. Plus even without a nanny, marc said they had help from people in the house, so it might not have been a formal nanny but they had help, you can see plenty of pics the last few months of jlo out with marc and no babies around.

brooke- Five/six months of going it alone probably DOES seem like a long time when you’ve got twins! Anyway..yes, they did have help before, but I think it was pretty much the same kind of help us “ordinary” folks get…their family.

J-LO mentioned in another recent interview that (prior to getting the nanny, anyway), she and Mark leave the twins with their grandma or aunt (J-Lo’s sister).

A few other celebs do this as well. For example, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have said they don’t have a nanny for Harlow, but leave her with one of her grandmothers or her uncle Benji (Joel’s twin brother) when they go out.

Also, let’s face it, even most “normal” people techincally have help with their babies. It’s just not in the form of nannies, chefs, etc. Usually it is in the form of family members and/or close friends. :)
