Brooke Burke Says She’s Not Afraid to Take Risks

Tonight, Brooke Burke will make her Dancing With the Stars debut and at the taping of tomorrow’s show, daughters Neriah, 8 ½, and Sierra Sky, 6, will cheer her on from the audience. In a new blog entry for Baboosh Baby, Brooke writes that the girls — who are skipping the premiere because it is a school night — are intrigued by their mom’s tendency to take risks, and her decision to appear on DWtS has left them as curious as ever. "Neriah loves that I have sky dived, swam with sharks and fought with crocodiles, but Sierra often asks ‘Why do you take so many chances?’ the 36-year-old former host of Wild On! shares. "I always tell them that I have lived my life and I want to try many things, at least once!"
"I have to admit, dancing on live TV in front of millions of people is at the top of my list of the craziest things I have ever done."
In addition to Neriah and Sierra, Brooke is mom to Heaven Rain, 19 months, and Shaya Braven, 6 months.

I think that’s a good outlook to have and to teach your kids, to try things at least once.

Wow she seems like a good mother, at least they have a bedtime schedule because of school, that is normal, unlike some other celebs that we hear of.
It’s also a great thing to teach your kids to try things at least once, when they have the chance.
But wow, fight with crocodiles? Must be terrifying!
Congrats for all these things you’ve done Brooke!!

She danced so well on dwts, had the highest scores. Aww shaya is so cute, he looks so much like david, they showed all the kids tonight. She has cute kids, and seems like a good mom. I cannot believe the woman had 4 kids, she had one of the best bodies on the show, her and toni braxton. Her stomach is so flat and she can’t be bigger than a size 2, david looked hot tonight too

I think Brooke looked terrific… after 4 kids? My stomach looks like a war path after 3, I wonder if she’s had a tummy tuck…

I doubt she’s had a tummy tuck (after seeing Kate-from Jon and Kate +8-recover from her tummy tuck it doesn’t seem possible since we saw her out and about after the last baby). She never really gained much weight with her pregnancies and you can tell she takes very good care of her body. She has to as it’s her livelihood. She was really good on DWTS last night. She’s so hot and the way David was cheering her on was so sweet. I really like Brooke and hope she makes it far on the show.

Brooke admits to her plastic surgery – just her boobs! No tummy tuck, like Lisette said she’s very conscious that her body IS her work. She looks great and she did wonderfully last night. You could tell she was nervous but she rocked it.

Chiara, I think the premiere was live but tapings are just that: show is done earlier in the day and then played in the evenings. So, the girls probably went to the taping after school or are homeschooled and worked it in their day.

The show is always live, the only thing that’s not is sometimes the musical performances are taped. I didn’t understand Brooke’s comment either?

I don’t think she had a tummy tuck either, she admitted to getting implants and even said in the future if she ever needed plastic surgery would get it, she seems pretty honest. She only gained 30bs with each pregnancy and she was only 110-115 to begin with, so 30lbs for her is not as much as say a woman who weighs a lot more before pregnancy. Plus we saw her out a lot after rain and shaya, so had she had a tummy tuck she would be recovering longer.

I think it’s great that she is teaching her girls to be fearless. So many never accomplish much of what they could’ve based on their fear to even attempt.
