Victoria Beckham Teaches Sons the Importance of Hard Work

Contrary to rumors of a lavish lifestyle, the three sons of Victoria and David Beckham — Brooklyn Joseph, 9 ½, Romeo James, 6, and Cruz David, 3 ½ — are routinely told ‘no,’ says their mum. "We’re very strict with them," Victoria tells The Sun. "We treat them now and then but they’re not the kind of kids who have everything they want when they want." For example, Victoria reveals, the boys "don’t get anything" if they fail to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you.’ The couple also routinely point to their own successful careers in their efforts to instill a good work ethic in their children.
"They know that if I’m away or David’s away, that Mummy and Daddy are away working, because that’s what you have to do if you want nice things and have nice holidays. You have to work hard for it."
Describing her sons as "really nice, well-behaved kids who sing and dance all the time," Victoria says that Romeo is "really, really into his clothes" and would "wear a suit every day" if she let him. Cruz, on the other hand, is still enjoying his breakdancing as well as wearing costumes; during Victoria’s interview, he even turned up in a cowboy outfit, prompting the 34-year-old fashion designer to joke "he loves dressing up at the moment — I just don’t know where he gets it from!"
While she "would like another child," Victoria says she is "not even trying to get pregnant at the moment."
"I don’t want another baby for two years because I’m working so hard on my fashion business. I haven’t got time."

Victoria and David appear to be very hands-on, thoughtful and loving parents. I have no doubt their boys are polite and fun…just look at their parents!

Why does ever interview she is in they ask her about another child. She has 3 children, i’m sure if she wants another she will have it lol. I think people only ask cause she has 3 sons and they think she has to have a girl. She has made it clear after cruz she doesn’t seem that interested in another baby, at least not right now or maybe never who knows lol.

I think they’re both terrific parents. They obviously spend a lot of time with their kids, which I love to see. It’s also really nice to hear that they’re not spoiled, because it’s so easy to spoil kids when you have the money to do it.

How can she teach them about hard work when it looks like she spends more time on making herself look immaculate for the school run than actually doing any work.

Brooke, I agree. If/when she has another, if it’s a boy will the questions continue? With girl, will they stop? It must get incredibly annoying.

lol, that’s a scary picture. I love her, and I love how she and David care a lot about the boys being polite. One of Brooklyn’s first words was “please”!

I think they always ask because David has said that he wants atleast 5 children.

They are a great family, I like the discipline. Maybe part of it is because they’re British? Anyway, I agree thats a scary picture.

I like Victoria, but one comment kind of irks me.
“They know that if I’m away or David’s away, that Mummy and Daddy are away working, because that’s what you have to do if you want nice things and have nice holidays. You have to work hard for it.”
Really? I’m pretty sure with the money they’ve accumulated, they could both retire now and live pretty comfortably for the rest of their lives with their ‘nice holidays and nice things.’ I don’t think there is anything wrong with wanting a career and being a working mom or dad, but why lie about your motives? I don’t know…anyone else thinking this?
