Constance Marie Expecting First Child, a Girl
Actress Constance Marie has announced that she is expecting her first child with fiancé Kent Katich this February. Constance — who shares the baby is a girl — is finally “feeling good” after a very “rough” start to the pregnancy. “Instead of morning sickness, they should call it all-day sickness,” says the former George Lopez actress. Constance, 43, goes on to reveal that although “marriage is a wonderful thing,” she is reluctant to tie the knot because according to her, “things are so good” at the moment, so “why mess with them?” After years of wondering if she wanted to be a mother, Constance — who hopes that their little girl gets her daddy’s nose — admits that she was finally ready to take the plunge. She says,
“After 10, 11 years of playing a mom, starting with Selena and then to the George Lopez show, I think I finally decided I wanted to be one in real life! If you’re not around children constantly, you don’t realize how wonderful they are!”

I am so happy for her. If how she’s around her TV/movie children is any indication, I think she’ll be a great mom to her baby girl.
Can’t wait to hear about the delivery, the baby’s name!

I was wondering what she’s been up to since the GL show ended. Yay, I am also 43 and all the power to her! When I was pregnant with my 2nd child (at 35) I was carrying a girl and my morning sickness was everyday all day long in the 1st trimester; so I can relate. Congrats and best wishes to her and Kent!!

I completely respect and understand the fact that some couples choose not to get married. While I personally would definently get married if I found “the one”, I understand that’s not the right decision for everyone.
However, why get engaged if you don’t plan to get married in the first place? I’m in no way critcizing Constance. I am just geniunely curious as to why some couples do this.

congrats!!! i am so happy for constance and kent!!! i don’t think she is 43 she looks like she is 20 yrs. old!!!! and i think that it’s romantic that they don’t wanna tie the not, i think it makes it all the more special!!! best luck to ya!!!
