Jennifer Garner and Violet Are All Smiles!
Pedro Andrade/Nate Jones/Pacific Coast News |
Jennifer Garner smiled as she dropped off pigtailed daughter Violet Anne at preschool on Wednesday in Santa Monica. The 36-year-old actress then headed to Cedars-Sinai for a prenatal appointment.
Jennifer and husband Ben Affleck expect a sibling for 2 ½-year-old Violet this winter; she prefers to keep the sex of the baby and the due date private.

It sort of irks me that celebrities get free gift bags, swag, etc when they are more than able to buy it themselves. They should donate it all to charity or someone more in need.

Is she okay holding Violet? She is really starting to show and I heard its not good to carry over 20 pounds. Violet is so cute and I know how much easier it is to hold them, then to let them walk. It will take you 5 years to walk down the street lol.

I love Violet pics…I really do…but it seems like we see her going to and from preschool every day! Is this a little much?

Jennifer, I thought the same thing. I carried my daughter while I was 7 months pregnant and I started getting pains in my lower abdomen. So I couldn’t carry her anymore. It’s definately not good to carry older children while you are pregnant. The doctor told me that was why I was getting pains. So I actually can confirm that.

Jen does look like she is struggling a little with Violet here. Her bump is definitely growing and perhaps Violet’s getting a bit big? My 2.5 year old is such a weight and he’s only 27.5lbs, I don’t know she does it! Violet always look so cool and casual, and such a gorgeous smile too!

lisa I think this is the first picture in a week or so, wasnt the family in West Virginia recently? Anyway i love their smiles.

For heaven’s sake, people! She’s still her baby, despite her size. Besides, do you really expect her to walk at a 2-year-old’s snail’s pace into preschool as the paparazzi are right there in their face?! She’s trying to keep Violet happy, focused and content in spite of the scary guys with cameras in her face.

Talk about cuteness overload! I absolutely love this family and these smiles just melt my heart…like they had a little intimate moment…so sweet! Jennifer looks amazing and baby looks to be really growing–can’t wait to meet the newest Affleck…and Violet–well I don’t think she can get much cuter…I just adore this little one–I am SO excited for #2…gorgeous pics!

I am pregnant with my second child and I also have a 3yr old little boy. My doctor told me that it is safe to carry him around unless I get to the point where it is painful to me, as with Shya and her abdomen pains. So until it is uncomfortable for her, I think she is okay.

My daughter was 3 1/2 when I became pregnant. In the first trimester I didn’t carry her really but after that I did. Towards the end I couldn’t but that was because of my belly size, not because I couldn’t. Most doctors will tell you that if you are able and want to you can continue carrying your child. But if you can’t then don’t use the new baby as the reason. Of course mine was older and didn’t need carried all the time either.

I don’t think anyone wanted to criticize Jennifer carrying her daughter. I think they’re genuinely worried about her carrying that weight in hight stage of pregnancy. There are some risks but she’s young and probably consulted it with her OG.
I love how is this little girl always smiling. She seems to be such a happy child.

she’s very close to being 3… they no longer walk at a snail’s pace. believe me! it IS getting a little old, this non-walking thing.

why must we all comment on her carrying Violet–it’s her daughter and she can do what she wants…neither of them look in one bit of discomfort and frankly I think we are all underestimating Jennifer–she would not do something that put any one in danger, least of all her little ones so maybe we can stop all the comments about being concerned–people are allowed to carry their children for whatever reason they want…Violet is happy, Jen looks completely at ease and happy…so what is there to be concerned or worried about?

If she wants to carry, and she feels she can, then that’s her prerogative.
I just think the picture’s cute, and I love the near matching smiles. I can’t believe how big her belly has gotten since the last time I saw a photo of her.

I agree Megan. I still don’t understand why people are so obsessed with why celebrities carry their own children. Why does it matter? It doesn’t affect us. It’s her daughter. Why can’t parents enjoy carrying their children while they still can.

I love them! They are such a cute sweet mother-daughter pair!
Good luck to Jen and Ben and Miss Violet with the upcoming arrival!

Mom looks happy and healthy; kid looks happy and healthy – and I think that answers the “should she” questions. Nobody knows her body better than Jennifer herself. If she feels comfortable carrying her daughter, no one else should have a problem with it. I don’t.
Great smiles, by the way.

I always love seeing this family, Jen is an awesome mom and Violet always looks happy and normal. can’t wait to see what they have next boy or girl!

awww look how much the baby has grown! Violet and Jen look great, though Jennifer does look like she’s starting to get a little uncomfortable. It must be tiring to consistly have cameras in your face …… though I have to admit that I love seeing the pictures just as much as the next person.

I have 4 kids and I’ve carried all of my kids through all of my pregnancies….the oldest is going to be 5 soon. I don’t think Jen would carry Violet if it was physically hurting her. I also don’t think she would be carrying Violet if her Dr. advised her not to. She probably just carries her from the car through the parking lot, past the paps, then puts her down once they’re inside, which makes complete sense to me.

I just love how they always seem to be sharing a little secret between them. Sooo cute. I adore them. Can’t wait for the new little Affleck.
September 25th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
Good grief she’s gotten big…I think she’ll be due sooner than later! I so hope it’s a boy! That would be perfect for them!
September 25th, 2008 at 11:37 pm
SH- ITA! Jennifer most likely does just that. Everyone seems to be assuming that she carries Violet everywhere and all the time, when it’s likely that isn’t the case. Remember, these photos literally capture only a split second in time!
Also, is it just me, or does it seem like Jennifer is the ONLY celeb who gets critcized for carrying her older child while pregnant?
Angelina Jolie carried both Z (who’s almost a year older than Vi!) and Shi while pregnant with Knox and Viv, and Maddox (who was going on 5 at the time!) while she was pregnant with Shi (usually while carrying then barely 1-year-old Z at the same time to boot!).
Naomi Watts has carried Sasha throughout her current pregnancy (although, granted, most of the time she does have him in a stroller).
Brooke Burke carried Rain throughout her pregnancy with Shaya (granted, Rain wasn’t even 1 year old during most of the pregnancy).
Yet none of those ladies got/gets the criticism that Jen gets. Why is that?
Finally, would you honestly let your two going on three year old walk if there were paps around?

I am still carrying my 3 and 2 year old while Im pregnant AGAIN
I am only 14 weeks BUT my 3 year old is way too heavy and he really only gets picked up to say go over the gate to go potty, or when he’s sleeping. He is alread 55 pounds and hes very tall (alot like Henry, Heidi and Seal’s son) He’s built very similar. Its hard, but they are still babies and they need their mommy regardless of their size.
