Mommy Makes It Better for Violet Affleck

After a short meltdown following a boo-boo while at the park with mom, Violet Anne Affleck, 2 ½, was back in fighting form, smiling for photographers on Thursday in Pacific Palisades. She and Jennifer Garner, along with a nanny, swung on the swings and kicked around a basketball before heading home.
Jennifer, 36, and husband Ben Affleck expect their second child this winter.
Violet wears Superga Torino sneakers in pink canvas ($40).

Aww the pics of Violet crying on Just Jared are so cute! Especially Jen kissing her hand better. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her not smiling let alone crying. Then she’s happy again! Bless her.

yeah. I was just going to say-she’s really starting to show and fill out. She’s not as full as she was with her first pregnancy with Violet, but she’s definitely in those later stages! Can’t wait to find out all the details
I think she’s due in mid-late November.
She’s probably about 7 months along?

On the one hand, I would carry my kid a lot as well with all those scary paparazzi following them around. 2 is still so small and those guys don’t seem to be known for their respect of children’s space. But for the daughter’s well being, in general shouldn’t parents start to break some habits they would do with one child that they won’t be able to do with two? Unless Jennifer plans on carrying one on each hip, she will realistically have the new baby in her arms a lot, and Violet could resent it.

Just when I think I couldn’t possibly love these two any more, here comes another set of pics to make me fall deeper in love with them. OMG, how cute to see such sweetness in that “kiss and make it better” scene at JJ. So adorable. Thanks CBB for 2nd shot of your blog. I agree with Skipsie they are equally adorable.

Adorableee! I fyou look at all the pics you’ll see that Jennifer actually picked Violet up because she was crying.. maybe she fell down and hurt her hand a little or something.. plus there’s the paparazzi around.

I wouldn’t worry about the Violet carrying. I think Jen’s doc would have told her if it was an issue. Lots of women carry kids when pregnant. I also bet she is only carrying Violet when there are a lot of paps around, so it’s probably not a habit. Who knows though? I just know they’re an adorable family

I have a feeling little violet will get jealous of the new sibling. She seems to get a lot of attention and carried a lot, and since she will be 3 when the baby is born, she is old enough to know a new baby is around. She is quite tall for 2 1/2yrs old. My cousin just had a baby and her daughter who is 3 got quite jealous, but it’s getting better now as a month went by

MB- ITA! And who’s to say that Jen WON’T carry both Vi and the new baby? Plenty of celebs carry two kids at the same time (Angelina Jolie has done this, as has, I believe, Heidi Klum).
Anyway, I wonder why she brought the nanny with her, especially since she seems like such a hands-on mom (not criticzing, just wondering?)?

And I think that Jen she’s due late November early December.It will be cute if the baby will born on December 1st,Violet’s third birthday.I also think that she’ll have a baby boy

I hope the baby ISN’T born on Violet’s birthday! Vi needs her own day! Can you imagine what it would be like to have mommy in the hospital on your third birthday?
As for the baby’s gender…I’m actually thinking that it’ll be another girl. Casey and Summer (Ben’s brother and sister-in-law) have the boys in the family (they have two, Indiana and Atticus), so I think Ben and Jen will have the girls in the family.

My oldest, a girl, had just turned 3 when I had my 3rd baby. When I brought the new baby home I understood why people space their kids 3 years apart. WAY different than when they’re 18 months. I have 4, they’re all about 18 months apart. 3 years old is a good age for a new baby and I bet Violet will do very well with little jealousy since it seems that Jen and Ben will see that she gets the attention she needs while tending to the new one.

SH- I agree! In fact, I think that, once Baby Affleck is born, we’ll be seeing a lot of pictures of Ben taking Violet out for daddy-daughter time, just as we’ve seen plenty of pictures of Gavin Rossdale taking Kingston out for daddy-son time since Zuma was born.
