"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

New York Jets Coach Eric Mangini Welcomes Son Zack Brett

Tags: Births, Names

New York Jets head coach Eric Mangini, 37, and wife Julie have welcomed their third son. Zack Brett Mangini was born at 7:43 a.m. on Friday with "very, very healthy lungs," weighing in at 7 lbs 13 oz and measuring 20 inches in length; both mom and baby are doing well, Eric told reporters later in the day.

In an ironic twist of fate, Zack shares a birthday with New York Jets quarterback Brett Favre, whom he can someday thank for his middle name. Eric promised to incorporate ‘Brett’ into the name of his then-unborn son this summer, when the Jets were negotiating the trade that would ultimately bring Brett to New York from the Green Bay Packers. It isn’t the first time the Mangini’s have paid homage to Eric’s job while playing the name game, however. The couple’s 4 ½-year-old son Jake Harrison is named after New England Patriot Rodney Harrison, while 2 ½-year-old Luke William is named after New England head coach Bill Belichick. "All my kids have middle names that are related to people that have been important to me in my football career," Eric reveals. "I explained that history [to Brett] and explained that we were pregnant with our third child."

"I really believed that he could be an instrumental part in another good year and an important part of my football life and I would commit to Zack Brett Mangini at that point. That was part of our terms, and we stuck with it."

While his newest son may share a name with a future Hall of Fame quarterback, Eric says he doesn’t expect Zack to follow in Brett’s footsteps on the football field. "Just judging by how I throw, every male in our respective families throw, we tend to breed linemen on both sides," Eric jokes. "Maybe he’ll change the equation."
