Jamie Lynn and Maddie’s Day Out
Gregg DeGuire/WireImage |
Jamie Lynn Spears tends to 3 ½-month-old daughter Maddie Briann while shopping for diapers and other essentials at Walmart in McComb, Mississippi on Saturday.
The 17-year-old actress was recently in the news when personal photos of her family were stolen from fiancé Casey Aldridge’s digital camera. An investigation is ongoing.
Jamie Lynn uses the Graco MetroLite Travel System in Cherry Blossom ($240).

The more I see of Jamie Lynn as a mom, the more impressed with her I am.

She looks awesome & Maddie is getting so big! I love that car seat/combo and love love love the fact that it’s affordable and not some fancy celebrity gear ;p

I love how normal she appears to be- shopping at Wal*Mart, pushing around an affordable stroller. She also seems to be settling into motherhood quite well.

We almost bought that stroller in the blue plaid fabric but ended up with another Graco. I’ll be honest: I was really skeptical when Jamie Lynn announced her pregnancy. However, I have been impressed with the photos we’ve seen of her. Sure, photos don’t mean that someone is a good mom or a bad mom. However, it appears as though she is really hands on and down to earth. We don’t see pics of her out at parties and the like. I applaud her.

How sweet! i love chubby babies. i just want to squeeze her.
the first thing i noticed, though, are those earrings on Jamie are huge! i would be terrified the baby would grab them and rip them out. almost happened to me when i was a nanny, so maybe i get a little pre-nervous. but, ouch, when it happens it hurts for a long time.

I almost bought a very similar buggy when my daughter was still a foetus, but I ended up not because of the advice about laying a baby flat, rather than curved in a car seat. That kind of buggy is fantastic though, if you only have the baby in it for short periods, and is a good money saver. Glad to see Jamie Lynn out doing normal mum things with Maddie. I had an earring yanked out by my devil-niece (lol joke!) so I totally get what you’re saying Abbey!

i wonder how they got that picture… everytime i’m in wal mart, if i’m ever taking a pic, of my friend acting goofy or my cousins or my godchildren or WHOMEVER (wally world brings out the goofy in ppl i love) i’m ALWAYS told QUICKLY to put my camera AWAY!!!

Cute pic, but yeah I’m with Abbey and Phoebe about the earrings comment. Here Jamie Lynn looks like the typical teenager, hoop earrings and all, but as a mother she should be careful wearing earrings like that around her daughter. Still she’ll learn soon enough.
I also wonder about the paps ability to take pics inside Walmart (actually this seems a bit stalkerazzi, imho)? Although I have seen many pics people have taken of themselves & friends inside Walmart before (once even a ‘music video’ on y-tube by an aspiring artist, messing with a keyboard in a sales display, lol!), although
usually they were taken on the sly via mobile phone camera, etc.

It’s nice to see her with an affordable stroller/carseat.
I don’t understand why people spend $800 on a stroller!!

Jamie’s must’ve gave the pap permission to take the pics. There’s no way Wal-Mart would allow it. The photographer is probably from OK Mag or something.

i love that she loves wal-mart. i know there may not be much else in that area(im from louisiana too so i know how shopping can be) but im glad jamie lynn doesnt act to “good” to shop like everyday folks. she seems to be a good, hands on mom.
