Lisa Marie Presley Welcomes Fraternal Twin Daughters Finley and Harper

Update: Lisa Marie’s rep confirms to CBB/PEOPLE that the girls’ names are Finley and Harper.
Originally posted October 11th: Lisa Marie Presley and her husband Michael Lockwood have welcomed fraternal twin girls, her rep confirms. The babies were delivered by c-section on Tuesday, October 7th at 2:46 p.m., weighing in at 5 lbs., 15 oz and 5 lbs., 2 oz respectively. Names are not being released at this time. A rep for the couple says,
"The babies and mom are happy and healthy and resting at home."
The twins join siblings Danielle Riley, 19, and Benjamin Storm, 16 this month, from Lisa Marie’s marriage to Danny Keough. Lisa Marie, 40, announced her pregnancy in March, sharing in August that they were fraternal.

Congrats Lisa Marie! I’ve been thinking she was going to have the twins since september 1st! It was rumored they it was gonna be boy/girl twins named Gladys and Jesse so i wonder what they ended up naming them! Anyways congrats to the family. Now im waiting for Ashlee Simpson, Jennifer Garner, Naomi Watts, Rebecca Romain, and another Sandler baby girl!

Star magazine was right, they said she was pregnant before she even confirmed it and they also said it was twin girls back in the summer. Sometimes magazines are wrong, but other times they can be right. Wow now she has 3 girls and 1 son, elvis would have a big family if he was alive. His only daughter had 4 kids. Can’t wait to hear the names and hopefully see pictures, i’m sure the names will be normal because her other two children have nice names.

WOW what an honor twins..love the personal connection of the family twin sets.. I do what I do today becoz of Elvis, Ive not been one of the over obsessed fans comparing you to Elvis and wishing you were more like him.. I love who you are and what you do to be your own person separate from him. I have been entertaining most of my life and things in my own career are just now taking off…so who says we 40 yr old women say we cant..? YES WE CAN! and my son Josh who growing up was a huge Elvis fan.. which is funny he used to introduce himself as Elvis Presley when he was 5 yrs old… now he’s a Rocker and a Closet Elvis fan..lol… but he just turned 19 on Oct 7th so I too feel honored and we; my son and I, will always have that connection with you and the joyous birth of your beautiful daughters! Lisa – I remember when you were born too..because I was a nursing student at the time at the hospital where you born in Memphis. You were a beautiful baby and grew into such a lovely young woman.I am wishing the same for your precious babies. Your father was gracious enough to sign your footprints after you were born and gave copies to the student nurses on that rotation.I am sure they are still around today and much treasured.Lots of memories of your dad from all those years ago.I never drive down the street past the house without thinking about him and all the wonderful things he did here at home. Congratulations Lisa Marie. I am the Mother of identical twin girls, 58 yrs.old. One of my twin daughters, is now the grandmother of identical twin granddaughters, which makes me the great-grandmother of twins.You can see how it really runs in families, every other generation. I am in a big family of Fraternals and my Grandmother gave birth to a set of boy and 15 months later, She gave a set to girls. She already had my Mom and my Uncle and and after the two sets she had two more single births=8 Kids! My brothers are Fraternals and so far one set of boy/girl.

What a precious time in Lisa Marie Presley and her husband’s life. It is interesting to me to hear of several celebraties having twins. Brandi’s right, twins CAN be delivered vaginally, but most doctors are no longer willing to do a vaginal delivery with twins (just as most doctors are no longer willing to do VBACs or breech vaginal deliveries.).
Anyway, I am so glad to hear about a set of same-sex twins being born in Hollywood! It seems like all the celebs that have had twins lately (J-Lo and Mark, Angelina and Brad, Tony Dovolani and his wife, Dennis and Kimberely Quaid, etc.) have had boy/girl pairs.
In fact, the most recent same-sex twins I can think of are Garcelle Beauvis-Nilon’s boys. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with boy/girl twins (in fact, although I initally hoped that the rumors about them having twin girls would prove true, I’m glad that Angelina and Brad had boy/girl twins!
). I just have a thing for same gender twins, especially girls. 
I am confused, though, as to how Lisa and Micheal knew the girls were fraternal before they were born. I thought the only way to tell whether same gender twins are identical or fraternal was to do a DNA test after they’re born?
I know fraternals always have their own sacks and placentas…But identicals can also have their own sacks and placentas!
To the poster who asked why there have been so many twins in Hollywood lately…I think fertility treatments are certainly part of the reason.
I think another part of the reason is that more and more women (both celebs and non-celebs) are waiting until they’re 40 or older before having children. Women over 35 have an increased chance of having fraternal twins naturally.
This is because, as a woman nears menopause, her body starts producing more of a certain chemical (progesterion, I think) that stimulates egg production. Thus, it becomes more likely that she will ovulate two eggs at once.

Since I am a twin-(identical girls )we were,I can tell you that you are in for a wonderful time in your lives as these girls will bring you sure joy. My mom has told us so many great stories about our childhood and we have lived many great joys (my sister)and I.
I bet your dad is really celebrating with all the others in the “great beyond”.I am sure your mom is busting her “buttons” with pride. I just hope the girls will be as close as my sister and I have always been.

I am so very happy for all of you and I wish you many happy years watching your beautiful twin baby girls growing up. I can’t wait to hear what you name them. Enjoy every second cause it goes by way to fast. Twins are amazing,. I have two sets. First set are Boy and Girl Joshuah and Julionna 14 years old. they were are 7 and 8 children. Then we had another set 11 years later Two Girls what fun were having with them. Their names are Isabella and Gabriella they bring such joy to our family of 11 children. Lisa and Michael have fun and enjoy thoses bundles for time slips by so fast.The girls are now 3 years old and full of laughter you will see how different they are and how they steal your heart away. After having so many children, The older you get the more fun you have with the little ones. they keep you young and active. they will bring you such joy through out the years.

I remember your father ELVIS, and CONGRATS on all of your children. I know that you two are very happy with your twin girls.I remember you when you were a baby your self now look at you, you have 4 kids of your own. wow! i was not expecting these names for 2 reasons first off the rumor of Gladys and Jesse then bc her other two kids names are common, however i like the names harper and finely they are unique but not overboard. Is it me or do u feel like if some of these celebs werent famous they wouldnt name their kids something so unique? bc i feel like there is a trend in hollywood recently that they cant name their kids typical names. I like harper and finely (even though the names, especially finley, are a little on the masculine side) and i bet they are beautiful and cant wait to see them!

i have a 6 year old boy called “finlay” so i like the name – but i hate that it’s becoming more popular, especially for girls in the states (we’re brits) when i named my son, practically no one was called finlay (or finley) in the states and i liked how it was unique but not weird. now, sadly, it’s becoming more trendy. and i’m guessing now it will be even moreso!

I love the names. I know using last names is really popular. I remember when my son went in for his 12 month physical, there were 4 other boys close to his age in the waiting area and their names were Holden, Tanner, Jackson and Parker….my son’s name is Connor. I remember thinking it was funny that there was not a Joseph or Michael in the bunch, lol.

I’m quite liking the boy’s names for girls. I know technically they are unisex names, but they’re boyish and that’s what I love! It’s the same reason as to why Brooke Shields daughter’s names have grown on me, I quite like names that aren’t massively feminine! Congrats to the family!
