Taylor Dayne Talks About Her ‘Beautiful Little Souls’

Singer Taylor Dayne likes to remain in the driver’s seat and was hoping for the same when she decided to become a mom. Even though motherhood "was a complete choice of mine," Taylor quickly learned that it was "definitely out of my control and a miracle" when she welcomed fraternal twins Astaria and Levi via surrogate six years ago. The 46-year-old decided that it was the right time to bring children into her life when she realized that "I didn’t want to miss the opportunity and I’m certainly not a spring chicken at this point," adding, "I’m at a place in my life where I thought what’s left to experience except being bigger than myself." Now that her "beautiful little souls" are here, Taylor sometimes has to stop and just observe.

"Sometimes its hard to take it all in because you’re living your day to day life. But then you have moments where you step back and realize, wow I’m doing a good job! And I’m not little miss sit-at-home homemaker and I’ve had to come to terms with all of that, but at the end of the day they are great kids."

   Astaria has such a pretty sound to it, and it suits her daughter so well – she’s a beauty!
