76ers Elton Brand and Wife Welcome Son Elton Peace

Philadelphia 76ers Elton Brand and his wife Shahara have welcomed their first child. Son Elton Peace Brand arrived on Thursday, October 16th, weighing in at 8 lbs, 6 oz.
The 29-year-old power forward began playing basketball at Duke University and turned pro in 1999 when he was drafted by the Chicago Bulls. Elton then played for the Los Angeles Clippers from 2001 until earlier this year, when he was traded to the 76ers.
The couple announced the pregnancy in July.
