"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Milla Jovovich Says Pregnancy ‘Evened Her Out’

Bauer Griffin

With Ever Gabo Anderson’s first birthday coming up on November 3rd, actress Milla Jovovich recently revealed that her labor with her daughter — ironically over Halloween — took a somewhat frightening turn. "I was in labor for 72 hours," the actress, 32, told PEOPLE at the Spike Scream Awards last weekend. "I was up for 48 hours, for two nights. I started Halloween night. By the time I went into the hospital, it was the night of November 2nd. I finally went into the hospital and had the epidural." Though the labor was intense, once Ever was born, Milla says that all she wanted to do "was just show her who her mom is, and talk to her." Dad is her longtime fiancé, director Paul W. S. Anderson.

After delivery came another tough hurdle: losing her baby weight — all 70 lbs of it. "I was really good when I was pregnant. I wasn’t the crazy pregnant chick. I’m crazy anyway, so pregnancy really evened me out. I was like, ‘Whatever, I’m 200 lbs. Get me another bagel.’"

Milla has said she lost 62 pounds after giving birth, working with trainer Harley Pasternak, and continues to keep up with a set routine. "I’m sort of back to normal," she shared. "But, I like this workout, I like to train. It’s part of my world. It’s good for me to be disciplined, because in so many areas of my life, I’m kind of lazy. It’s nice to have some pattern in my life that stays the same and I get to do some working."

So what’s up next for the doting mom? Planning Ever’s first birthday party! "I’m the worst at planning stuff like that. But for her party, I have to plan something. It will be pretty relaxed. Too many people in the house [can be] too much" for Ever, she said. "The fact is, I just have to bring her down after her nap and take some shots with the other kids, and send her away. She’ll just freak out."

The actress and model joked, "It’s really for me. It’s not for her. It’s for her memories so she doesn’t come back to me at 25 like, ‘You didn’t celebrate my first birthday, and that’s why I hate you, mom! My life is totally screwed up because of it!’"

    Ever is the cutest!

I love her comment about being crazy anyway. Classic.

Finally a celebrity mom who understands the truth about childrens first birthday parties! Get them a box and a nap and they’re happy!

  3. LMP Says:

My absolute favorite comment, “Whatever, I’m 200 lbs. Get me another bagel.” Too funny! I love how confident she is and how she’s not obsessed with being a stick-figure, but healthy. She’s amazing!

  4. NELLA Says:

hahahaha I love the bagel comment also! Milla seems so down to earth and fun. Honestly first birthday parties are mostly for parents in my opinion. Ever is gorgeous and Milla looks amazing as well.

  5. Jessica Says:

I’m so glad I named my daughter after such a smart, beautiful, and funny woman. She’s an excellent role model for us all.I love her honesty and her attitude. Oddly enough, she gave birth to Ever on my daughter’s due date. My Milla came a week early, how weird. Guess that’s a sign I picked the right name:)

  6. Sarita Says:

I love her attitude and she is so right about the birthday party. I really dislike people going overboard and spending thousands of euros on a party the child doesn’t even want.

  7. Sami Says:

Too funny! I totally wanna name my first girl after milla, but my SO thinks it’s too weird for some reason. This is the guy that whats to name the first girl Veronica or Vanessa. I said “No way! Those are too normal!” Everyone here will call our kid Vero or Nessa or Ronnie, ick! It’s a fine name I just want something more unique. I think Milla is a perfectly fine and sweet name without being too unique to cause problems for the kiddo.
