Actors Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof are expecting their first child, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. The How I Met Your Mother and American Pie star, 34, is due in the spring.
Alyson and Alexis, 42, initially met on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1999, where they played characters Willow and Wesley. The pair wed five years ago on October 11th, 2003, in Palm Springs, Calif.

OMG I’m so excited for them! I recall a flashback on HIMYM where Lily wasn’t drinking with the rest of them, so perhaps they were planning on writing a pregnancy, and this happened at the perfect time?

Expecting a baby is so amazing. No I don’t know from experience just yet, however I am sure that you will be great parents. I remember watching you on Buffy and you use to always have the answer to any sticky situation. I understand that the television show provided you with all your witty lines and all your answers. I knwo that life is not at all like that. But you will learn. Anyways, congratulations and take care of your new baby.
