Caroline Rhea Welcomes Daughter Ava
StarPix |
Actress and comedienne Caroline Rhea and her longtime boyfriend, Costaki Economopoulos, are first time parents after welcoming a daughter. Ava Rhea Economopoulos arrived Monday, October 20th in NYC, weighing in at 8 lb., 15 oz. and measuring 22½ inches long. Despite initially saying they’d like a Greek name, Caroline and Costaki, 39, ultimately went for short and sweet when making their final decision. The former Sabrina the Teenage Witch star, 44, jokes,
"We wanted the shortest first name possible, since her last name is thealphabet. It was either that or Emmy, becauseI’ve always wanted an Emmy."
The pregnancy was first announced in May.

Great choice of name. It’s perfect with the long last name and is better than Emmy with an “E” last name in my opinion. Congratulations to them!

Always wanted an Emmy. Classic stuff. Congrats to the new family. And on behalf of someone with a very long last name – get used to a shortened version on official forms, there are never enough letters.

The name ava is so cute and girly, good choice of her to give her kid a short normal name to even out the last name. Pretty big baby too

Marilyn, I believe the name “Emmy” was a joke – a reference to the award.

Congrats to them on a very healthy-sized baby Ava – I have to say that I have never heard of a girl being quite that tall – is that possible?? Even Shaq’s (and most basketballer’s) kids aren’t born THAT tall!! Anyway, I am happy for them!

So happy to hear that everything went well and I like that they named her with a short name. Just reading his last name was like. “WHOA” Congrats to them on their new baby. Caroline was my favorite “AUNT” on Sabrina!I’m so happy that her wish came true and she found happiness!
