Tamzin Outhwaite Says New Baby is ‘a Delight’

As it does for so many, motherhood "puts things in perspective" for Tamzin Outhwaite, she says in a new interview with Metro. "You’ve created a gorgeous new human life," the 37-year-old former EastEnders actress explains. "As an artist, I want to be creating." Regardless, Tamzin admits that her creative urges have been tempered by a more pressing desire to be with her 4-month-old daughter Florence Elsie Ellis. "Work is still important but it isn’t the be-all and end-all any more."

When asked whether she’d be happy to see Florence follow in mom’s footsteps, Tamzin says that "it’s a cliché but I’d just want her to do whatever made her happy." So far so good! Florence is "a very good baby," Tamzin reveals, adding.

"She’s only four months though. I’m not sure what age they start throwing tantrums but she’s a delight so far. I’ve just been relaxing and getting to know her. I’m loving it. She’s gorgeous."

Florence is the first child for Tamzin and the second for her husband Tom Ellis, who is already father to Nora, 3 ½.
