"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Julia Roberts Explains Her ‘Little Patch’ of Pink

While walking the red carpet Monday night at a fundraiser for The Painted Turtle — a charity co-founded by the late Paul Newman — actress Julia Roberts stopped to chat with Nancy O’Dell, 42, of Access Hollywood. Julia, mom to 3 ½-year-old twins Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus ‘Finn’ Walter, as well as 16-month-old Henry Daniel, and Nancy, mom to 16-month-old Ashby Grace, complimented one another on their postpartum figures while agreeing that motherhood is "the best thing ever." Henry, whom Julia called "perfect," even attended a rehearsal for the gala and "had so much fun." Julia adds,

"He’s gorgeous, not that I want anyone taking his picture, but he’s gorgeous."

An astute Nancy observed a small lock of pink hair mixed in with Julia’s golden brown tresses. "Oh the pink!" the 41-year-old Oscar winner exclaimed, before revealing that she was simply indulging a request by her daughter. "Hazel said, ‘Mommy, I wish you had pink hair,’ and I said, ‘Well, I don’t know if all of it would look nice,’" Julia explained. "So I just did a little patch."

Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry are Julia’s children with husband Danny Moder. Ashby is Nancy’s daughter with husband Keith Zubchevich, who also has two sons from a previous marriage.

So sweet Julia did that for Hazel.

  2. Stéph Says:

That’s so cute, she did that for Hazel. It’s so sweet. I bet Hazel is proud of her pink-haired mama! I don’t know if I would do it if my child would ask me that, maybe I would.

  3. Dana Says:

I just got permission from my boss to streak my hair green for Halloween (really because my daughter has been begging me to dye it pink, but I compromised). I never did anything “wild” when I was younger.

I love how Julia has really turned her back on Hollywood in favor of her family. She seems so happy and grounded as a Mommy.

  4. Reanne Says:

The Pretty Woman had become an AMAZING mother !!!

She sounds SO happy…she deserves every ounce of her hard earned happiness …

  5. GW Says:

Oh, and one other thing… HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JULIA!!!

  6. Laura Says:

She has aged so nicely. I wonder what her secret is.

  7. Bancie1031 Says:

She has gotten prettier with age. I love how her children come first! Hazel must be so proud that her mommy “dyed” her hair pink just for her.

  8. Lola Says:

Hey,can somebody tell me how to pronounce Phinnaeus? I have only heard of the name PhinnEAus so far, but never PhinnAEus. I’m sorry if I look too dumb. Thank you!

  9. NELLA Says:

That’s sooo cute that she dyed her hair pink for Hazel. So sweet :) She seems so content and happy and she looks so great it seems like she hasn’t aged at all. By the way Happy Birthday Julia!

  10. Dana Says:

    Lola,

    It is pronounced Fin-E-us.

  11. Angelina Says:

    Hi Lola
I would imagine it’s pronounced ‘Fin-aye-us’ as opposed to ‘Fin-ee-us’
    Hope that helps
