Heidi Klum: ‘You Can’t Just Work, Work, Work’
Barnsley/Symons/Pacific Coast News |
With the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show less than a month away, supermodel Heidi Klum admits that it’s been "crunch time" for her at the gym. The 35-year-old mom of three has been working out three to four times a week in anticipation of her turn on the catwalk wearing little more than a bra and panties, but tells Entertainment Tonight that exercise helps her across all facets of her life. "Because of traveling and having children, you have to be fit in order to perform and not just as a model — but as a mom and as a wife," she explains. "There’s so many things you have to do, you have so many hats on."
Not that she’s complaining! Heidi feels that "if you love what you do, then you can balance and you can juggle" work and family. The key, she says, is "set[ting] your priorities straight."
"You can’t just work, work, work. Because then all of a sudden, you don’t have a family…then why did you work so much when you’re all by yourself in the end? So for me, I always wanted to have a family, for me that was the most important thing, and I found a man that wanted to have that with me."
Heidi and her husband Seal are parents to Leni, 4 ½, Henry, 3 and Johan, turning 2 this month; The couple were married in 2005.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is scheduled to air December 3rd on CBS.

This is statement is so true. Work will always be there, but having a family will not. Work can’t keep you warm at night or whisper ‘I love you’ or give you a smile that tugs at your heart the way your child or partner can. Family and love is everything, it’s paramount and it’s fantastic that Heidi realises that there is more to life then celebrity. This might fade, but the family and the love you find there, will be there forever.Being a celebrity is one aspect of Heidi’s personality. She sees herself as a mother first.

It’s easy for her to say that. She’s got a load of money and doesn’t have to work a day in her life if she doesn’t want to.
