Daisy Schlapman Loves Life on the Road

Little Big Town’s Kimberly Roads Schlapman feels that she has the best of both worlds because she can travel and perform with her group and also bring 15-month-old daughter Daisy Pearl along on the road with her. "She tours with me … she has her own little bunk right across from mine. And she does really well," shared Kimberly. "You know how resilient kids are and how flexible they are. And you know, she doesn’t know any different; she’s only ever known this."
It also helps that Daisy has a playmate on the road with her in Penelopi Jane, the 10-month-old daughter of LBT’s Phillip Sweet. "They adore each other and love to play with each other. They’re best buddies," Kimberly explained. Even though Daisy "loves all the people out" on the road, there is one special person that stands out — dad Stephen Schlapman.
"We’re fortunate that my husband can come out with us, too, so he plays Mr. Mom and is a phenomenal dad. I’m so proud of him and that he can be with us."
Kimberly and Stephen were married on November 28, 2006.

Daisy is such a cute little baby in person. I saw her the other day (halloween) along with Phillips little one. They were both dressed in costume. Daisy was a duck and Penelopi was a lamb. I was on the other side of the stage from where they were so didn’t get any pictures. They showed them on the big screen in their outfits. Penelopi came into the meet and greet with her mom who was also dressed up.
