"My baby self weaned despite me trying to keep up the nursing! I find it so refreshing to hear Gwen talk about how hard she works to lose weight and keep herself in top shape. She looks great and has a beautiful family."

Sweet Beauty: Yummy Natural Skincare for Sweet Babies

Tags: CBB Faves

I think my baby already smells delicious, but when I used Sweet Beauty’s organic baby skincare line during and after his bath, he smelled positively yummy, like a combination of frosting and herb tea. And no wonder, since the all-natural ingredients include chamomile, marshmallow, raspberry, and mandarin orange. Sweet Beauty’s baby line is also made without paraben or preservatives and is nut and milk-free. The Seattle-based company makes scrumptious sounding products for grownups too, like Candy Cane White Chocolate Sugar Scrub and Tangerine Truffle Lotion (yum!), using anti-oxidant rich premium organic fair trade chocolate. Sweet Beauty’s founder Lisa Françoise is a licensed aesthetician who wanted to combine her passions for skincare and chocolate that she seeks to make "skincare feel like indulging in a luxurious dessert."

I used the cute little pot of the velvety Baby Balm ($17) to soothe my baby’s red chapped cheeks and to finally smooth a mysterious crusty patch behind his ear. It also works as a great lip balm and cuticle softener for mommy. The amazing-smelling Baby Cleanse Body Butter ($22) was like spreading frosting on the baby (what fun!) and made his already baby-soft skin even silkier. Though I don’t normally use moisturizer on my baby, Baby Lotion ($15) was neither greasy nor sticky, absorbed quickly, and when I rubbed it in before bedtime, left him smelling faintly of chamomile and orange when he woke up to eat three hours later, and then three hours after that and so on…. Even my husband liked how these products smelled and he usually doesn’t like scents!

My confession: at these prices I think I will use up these potions before my baby does.
