"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Gavin Rossdale Feels Guilty Leaving Sons Behind

Andrade/Butterworth/Pacific Coast News

Gone are his care-free days and in are singer Gavin Rossdale’s many responsibilities as a father to sons Kingston James McGregor, 2, and Zuma Nesta Rock, 11 weeks. Before becoming a dad, the 43-year-old admits that he was "probably more reckless and thinking a bit less about the consequences," but after marrying singer Gwen Stefani and starting a family, Gavin’s perspective on life has taken a positive turn. "What I’ve found from having children is that they just want to make you be better," shares the proud papa, who wants to "make sure I’m good for them when they check me out."

Taking a hiatus from his music career after 10 years with his former band Bush, Gavin has found success as a solo artist, however, shares that the continued fame does take its toll. Not unlike many fathers, Gavin must deal with the guilt of leaving his family behind as he fulfills his work-related obligations, causing him to "feel a bit bad." Gavin explains, "Like, I left my son. He was on holiday and I left the older one to come [to the Brittania Awards.] So I feel bad leaving them."

Although spending some quality time with her boys on a vacation in Hawaii, Gwen is sure to have her hands full! Gavin shares,

"[Zuma] is super mellow and at the moment very Buddha-like. Apparently Zuma’s more trouble [than Kingston] but I thought that he was perfect all the way."

did he feel guilty leaving his daughter when she was little? does he feel guilty now?.. he doesnt even see her… shame…

  4. brooklyn Says:

Interesting…but doesn’t he have an older child?

  5. charlotte Says:

I don’t wish to be rude, or be controversial, but Gavin was a father before he married Gwen and “started a family”. His goddaughter turned out to be his daughter and he stopped contact with her.

  6. Emilie Says:

I just feel sorry for poor Daisy Lowe. He didn’t give a damn when he found out he was her father – I know that he should have been told years before but she’s still his daughter and he’s pretty much abandoned her. Think there’s no dispute that he’s a great dad to Kingston and Zuma but what about Daisy?

  7. Lou Says:

aah bless him, he is such a great dad to both the boys!

i met him in june and is truly as in love with his family as it sounds-he’s adorable! x

  8. Heather Says:

So why wasn’t my post allowed through?

I said Gavin also has an 18 year old daughter named Daisy.

  9. jamie Says:

I always knew he would be a good dad because they way he loved his dog was so intense. Lol. Imagine kids? lol.

  10. Bumbles Says:

Isn’t he Daisy Lowe’s father too? Does he have a relationship with her?

  11. Artemis Says:

I loved Bush and I always thought he’s an awesome musician, but now Im starting to think he’s a better father than musician. I love this family.
