Josh Brolin: ‘Our Household is Strange’

With Barbra Streisand for a step-mom, a daughter and a step-daughter who are the same age, a famous father, a son, and a wife — Diane Lane — who is an accomplished actress in her own right, Josh Brolin has a lot going on at once! It’s no wonder, then, that when asked about the family dynamic, the 40-year-old actor tells Times Online that his "household is strange."

"I pretend to run the show and my wife allows me to think that I run everything. But she’s really in charge. We all get along with each other — all the kids and our exes. It is a modern marriage."

As for Barbra, Josh reveals that despite her occasional reputation as a diva, "she is extremely nice, likes gatherings and is sweet to my kids — her step-grandkids." Josh is dad to Trevor, 20, and Eden, 15, with ex-wife Alice Adair, while Diane is mom to Eleanor, 15, with ex-husband Christopher Lambert.

Josh can currently be seen in W, in theaters now.
