Adam Sandler Welcomes Second Daughter, Sunny Madeline
It’s baby girl #2 for Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie! Daughter Sunny Madeline Sandler arrived on Sunday, November 2nd in California, the actor posts on his website. Calling his latest addition "beautiful," Adam writes that "everyone is happy and healthy." Sunny joins 2 ½-year-old sister Sadie Madison at home.
Adam announced the pregnancy on The Tonight Show in May, sharing that Sadie had been the one to tell him the news — by handing him a positive pregnancy test! In September, Adam revealed that the baby would be a second daughter, or "little chickadee," as he referred to her.
Adam, 42, and Jackie, 34, wed in June 2003.

In Big Daddy, his characters name was Sonny Koufax. Kind of funny he named his daughter that now! I like matching initials he has given both his girls.

I like the name Sunny Madeline. Especially Madeline that I find gorgeous. It looks a lot like Sadie Madison. Both have the initials SMS. I can’t wait to see her.

Sunny is a cute name and is cute in a sib set with Sadie, though Sunny Sadler is tougher to say than Sadie Sadler for some reason.

I doubt that will really be a problem. They can always open it if need be to find out which one it’s for. My sister and I had the same initials and we never had any problems. In fact, I loved that we had the same initials. I looked up to my big sister and loved that we had that in common. Of course now that she is married we no longer have the same initials!
As for Sunny Madeline. I agree it is kinda cute… but I don’t know if I really like it for a child’s name. But she isn’t mine so it doesn’t really matter, haha.

I thought of S(u)onny Cofax as soon as I saw that was her name! Madison is from Billy Madison I am totally assuming. Cool how he added parts of his movie career to his kids names. And they are two of my fave movies of his to boot!

Aw, I came to CBB for the purpose of finding out if anyone had given birth yet! I’m so happy for Adam and Jackie and little Sadie!
I, for one, love when parents give their children the same first letters for their names. I love the name Sadie Madison and I love the name Sunny Madeline to go with it! Sadie and Sunny sound so cute together.

I wonder if they are pronouncing it ‘made-lynn’ or ‘made-line’?
I recently heard that the traditional pronunciation of Madeline is ‘made-lyn’, but I only know of one family that spelled their daughter’s name Madeline and then pronounced it Madelyn. In my experience it’s more common for Madeline to be pronounced like the children’s books/movies… “They left the house at half past nine in two straight lines in rain or shine. The smallest one was Madeline.”

I love the name Sunny, it’s also the name of Red Hot Chili Pepper Flea’s daughter. I also love Sadie, they are actually both on my list of future baby names in the event of the arrival of another daughter. I’m not sure I’m massively keen on the alliteration between the sisters or the ‘SS’ with the Christian and surnames, but they are lovely names. I have a real soft spot for Sadie, so I can’t wait to see the new little one. Congrats to the Sandlers!

I had the same initials as my younger sister and also the same middle name. It was a nightmare as we kept opening each others private mail.(and also my mom would open my younger sisters mail which would turn out to be mine)
I have made a concious decision not to do the same thing with my children

Congrats to the Sandler family on their new precious addition!! My mothers middle name is Madeline, and is also the first name of one of my neices. Sunny’s name made me giggle, not in a bad way but it just reminded me of Adam’s character in Big Daddy – Sonny Koufax.

I have the same initials as my mother and my two sisters….well at least until I found out in my early 20s that my middle name was never registered in my birth record. Our car even had the initials on it and everyone all over town knew it as the “xxx mobile”. Too bad I was misled on my name (smile!).
