"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Jada Pinkett Smith Says She Won’t Direct Kids

In Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, actress Jada Pinkett Smith lends her voice to the character of Gloria, a hippo bound for Africa after fleeing the Central Park Zoo. To hear Jada tell it, the home she shares with husband Will Smith and the couple’s two children Jaden Christopher Syre, 10, and Willow Camille Reign, 8, is a zoo of sorts in it’s own right. "We’ve got two dogs, three cats and a snake," she tells USA Today. "Willow has a boa constrictor. She loves snakes." Making the film was a family affair, with Willow voicing baby Gloria during the film’s opening scenes — an experience Jada calls "fantastic."

"She’d been so interested in the process, and it was great that she could learn the process by participating. It took her a minute to get used to the microphone and the fact that there wouldn’t be any other actors."

If she harbors any lingering doubts about the decision to allow both kids to pursue careers in the entertainment industry, she isn’t showing them. "If that’s what they want to do, who knows?" Jada, 37, asks. "Whatever they want, as long as they’re happy…That’s what matters." While acting alongside her kids remains fair game, Jada says she has no intention of directing them — on screen, at least!

"Not anytime soon. I’m Mommy. That’s all I need to be to them."

In addition to Jaden and Willow, Will is dad to 15 ½-year-old Trey, his son from a previous marriage.

“Whatever they want, as long as they’re happy…That’s what matters.” That sounds so wrong and not an healthy attitude at all.
