Matthew Settle and Naama Nativ: Expecting a Girl!

Since announcing their pregnancy in August, Matthew Settle and wife Naama Nativ have been fairly tight-lipped about their impending parenthood. But Matthew, 38, opened up to PEOPLE Tuesday night after the Tribeca Film Institute’s benefit screening of Quantum of Solace, saying he’s "thrilled" to become a father. He told reporters,

"Before you have a child, everything is about you. But my wife, and us having a child, makes me want to be a better man."

Joking that he’ll "never be ready" to be a dad, Matthew did say that playing a dad to two teens on the hit show Gossip Girl "is helping inform [his] real life" as Naama’s due date looms. Parenting a daughter on TV should be especially helpful, since Naama revealed the couple is having a girl! "Pregnancy is going amazingly, I love it," Naama shares. "And Matthew’s very happy, very excited."

The couple’s daughter is due in March. While they’re preparing for their new arrival, they’re still undecided on names, Naama shares. "We’re not sure yet … we’ll see. I want Angelica," she revealed.

   Wow, this is so cute! I love Matthew and Naama, they are so perfect for each other.

   I love hebrew names…Like Deliah or Deborah. But of course Angelica Settle is also very nice.

    I like the names Bryony, Signy, Paige, Mackenzie and Claire.

    Something like Bryony or Mackenzie Rose, -or- Signy or Claire Paige.

    Those are some cute ones. Predictable: yes! Perfect: OH YEAH!!
