Brad Paisley’s Favorite CMA Moment: Kissing Kimberly’s Baby Bump

Brad Paisley ruled the stage at Wednesday night’s Country Music Association Awards as the show co-host, a two-time performer and the winner of the male vocalist award, but his jubilant celebration offstage provided his sweetest moment.After his name was announced as best male vocalist, Brad, 36, trotted offstage into the front row of the audience, where his pregnant wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley, 37, was sitting. He embraced her, kissed her and then bent down to plant a kiss on her baby bump.

"I’ve got four more months to go with this pregnancy and that’s going to get me through some stuff — I got that in my back pocket now," Paisley jokes of his spontaneous show of affection. "The next time I’m not performing up to par, I can say, ‘Remember that?’ "

More seriously, Brad says, he hopes one day he can replay the moment for his future son or daughter.

"Kimberly and I were both talking about how special that will be for our child to grow up someday and see that tape when I kissed her belly. He or she — we don’t know what it is yet — will be the second child and they always have trouble feeling important. I didn’t do this with [20-month-old son] Huck – so they’ve got one on him."

Brad and Kimberly’s new baby is due to arrive in April.

   I love Brad! It was so funny last night. He gave Keith Urban a hug before Kim. She ran up to hug him and he just ran right past her. lol!

   I was there with my friend when he did it it was just adorable! He was so cute he pulled her out of the chair & kissed her then got down & kissed her stomach it was one of the best moments of the night!

    Kimberly looks absolutely beautiful!!!!

    I watched Father of the Bride Part2 for the millionth time last night. I know Kimberly was not pregnant for real in that movie. But it seems pregnancy seems to suit her.

    Kimberly said after not knowing the sex with her son, she wants to know with her 2nd child, so I bet they already know what they are having. I think it’s a girl, I hope so because their son is adorable, a little girl would be great. Kimberly said last year 2 kids have always been an ideal number for her, but brad and her haven’t decided if they will stop at 2 or go for 3 kids, just like kimberly’s parents had.

    brooke- Considering she’s due in April, that puts her at roughly 4 months right now. If you do the math, 4 months is roughly the same as 16 weeks…Which is about the earliest you can tell gender.

    Therefore, it’s very possible they haven’t found out quite yet. I also want to point out that it could be that they tried to find out…But the baby wouldn’t cooperate!

    Considering Kimberely has been open about wanting to find out the sex this time around, I doubt Brad would have said they don’t know if in fact they did. If they did know and don’t want to tell people the gender, I think he’d say just that: “We know what the baby’s going to be, but we’re keeping that private”.
