"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Matthew Broderick and James Have a Heart-to-Heart

Santiago Baez/ RAMEY

Actor Matthew Broderick and son James Wilkie, 6, hold hands and chat as they walk to James’ New York City school on Thursday. Is it just us, or are the two almost dressed alike?!

James is the only child of Matthew and actress Sarah Jessica Parker.

James wears Tsukihoshi Kids Euro ($57).

You had a picture of the kid with the same socks & same too short pants last week. you think with all the clothes his mother has she would buy him some longer pants.

  2. Nicole Says:

Does anybody know if those are an actual style of pants, or they’re just short? I love Matthew Broderick, seems like a great dad.

  3. georgia Says:

They are just too short…he is cute.

  4. Care Says:

Is it just me or are his pants always too short on him?? This is an adorable picture though!

  5. Michelle Says:

Cute!!! Matt looks like a great hand-on father, and James Wilkie’s always so energetic.

  6. Toni Says:

Nicole, I imagine they’re probably short. James is probably too attached to them to let them go.
I love how you can see his blue socks though, so maybe it was a fashion choice!

  7. SH Says:

Those pants are probably HIS favorite pair…he always has them on…and 6-year-olds don’t care if their pants are too short!

  8. Alib Says:

Yes he’s a cutie pie, but all his clothes always look a size to small for him.

  9. mp Says:

James wears a lot of hand-me-downs from cousins, plus, as others have pointed out, he’s probably attached to his clothes. Big deal. He’s ultra-cute and obviously well-loved. I’m also getting a separated-at-birth vibe between him and Kingston Rossdale.

  10. Michelle Z. Says:

Also (re: the short pants we see on him a lot) he’s a tiny thing – very thin. My son is the same way, and we have a choice: “high water” pants that stay up, or pants that are long enough but fall off his skinny tush when he plays. We usually opt for pants that are too short, but stay up. I have a feeling that’s the deal with James Wilkie, too.

  11. Sarita Says:

They are dressed alike, but James’ pants are too short and Mathew’s too long :) I also think who cares that they’re too short, as long as he’s happy in them!

  12. Jeannette Says:

Such an adorable picture! Cute how they do look very much similiar in clothes, coicidental or planned it may be.

  13. Aitch Says:

CBB: Why do you phrase it “the ONLY child of MB and SJP.” Why not just he is “THE child of MB and SJP.” Or “his parents are MB and SJP.”
