Liev Schreiber: Sasha is the Spitting Image of Naomi

With his fiancé, actress Naomi Watts, 40, due this winter with the couple’s second child, actor Liev Schreiber reveals to Us Weekly that the pair are still lacking a moniker for the new baby. When asked if they had a name in mind, Liev — a self-proclaimed "worrier" — was quick to respond, "No, we don’t!" However, while Liev may be unsure what he will be calling his child, there is hope he will be more fortunate when it comes to passing on some of his looks. As for his first child, son Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete, 15 months, the 41-year-old actor says he is a complete mama’s boy!

"I don’t know if you’ve seen him, but he looks exactly like his mother!"

   Liev seems like such a sweet guy–and he’s right…other than Sasha’s eyes/brows he’s ALL his mama. Such a lil cutie-pie.

   J, Sasha is the Eastern European nickname for Alexander.

   G is correct…”Sasha” is the middle “sa” sound from “Aleksandr” (or Alexander) coupled with the standard diminutive ending “-sha” in Russian (Grisha, Ksusha, Misha, Natasha, Tonya) equivalent to our “-ie” or “-y”, as in Andy, Cindy, Debbie, Eddie, Harry, Jeannie, Jenny, Jessie, Jimmy, Kathy, Katie, Larry, Mandy, Niki, Ronnie, Sally (Sarah), Susie, Tony, etc. And I think in Spanish if you add “ita” on the end of a name it stands for “little girl” and “ito” for “little boy” because I had a good friend named Sylvia and her father called her “Sylvita.” It’s interesting to find out about names, nicknames and terms of endearment from other countries, but it can be confusing, especially some of the Dutch diminutives!

   There is a photo of Naomi with her parents (her father was a Pink Floyd roadie), brother, Pink Floyd and their wifes at the time taken when she was roughly same age as Sasha and they look identical!

   He’s right,Alexander looks exactly like his mom!About the new baby I think they will probably choose a “normal”name,like Alexander.I propose Charlotte for a girl and Christian for a boy!

   F- Would you mind posting the link to that picture? I tried to Google it, but all it came up with was photos of Naomi with Sasha when he was younger!
