"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Myself Belts: Making Mornings (And Days) More Manageable

While I usually try to encourage my 2-year-old son Andrew’s independence and determination, getting dressed poses a challenge, especially when it comes time to put his belt on. Who can blame him? Looping the belt through the buckle, into the right hole, and back through the buckle again is a skill that he — like most toddlers — hasn’t quite managed to grasp yet. In comes Myself Belts and our mornings (and trips to the potty) have become much easier on the both of us.

Created by two sisters who realized that there were no kid-friendly belts on the market, Myself Belts for kids are buckle-free and can be put on or taken off in seconds. At one end of the belt is a simple snap plus a strip of velcro that goes around the first pant loop (to avoid the belt from wiggling around) and once the belt is around Andrew’s waist, he proudly finishes the job by velcroing the two ends. Yes, I still have to help him loop his airplane belt around his waist, but there is no comparison when it comes to Mr. Independent fastening his own belt.

Available in kid-friendly designs that parents can appreciate too, Myself Belts come in fun styles like Sports, ABC, and White Flower, and solid colors like black leather, pink corduroy, and navy canvas. For a little extra, your child’s belt can also be personalized. Not only are Myself Belts great for independent toddlers like Andrew, but they also come in an adult and teen size, making them perfect for people with special needs, rehabilitation patients, or simply those who want a fast, easy belt solution.

The thing that these belts are awesome for, more so than getting dressed, is potty training. Belts are often impossible to get off in time to prevent accidents, but the three year old I nanny can undo and redo his myself belt alone, which makes it possible to do the whole potty thing by himself. It’s a great self esteem booster

I’ve been getting magnetic belts for my kids on Ebay for years now. My oldest boy is 7 and very slim. He is also autistic and one of his problems is that he does not have the strength in his hands to snap his pants after using the restroom. He likes the magnet belts because they are not loud like ripping velcro apart. The size range for a belt is also huge, the same belt fits all 3 of my kids, ages 13-4, and I even used one once when I couldn’t find a belt of my own.
