Numb3rs star Alimi Ballard has one rule that he never breaks — no taking work home with him! "When I’m home, I’m just home and it’s all family time" with wife Dawn and their children Naya Seray, 3 ½,, and Cairo Che, 1, he explains. Alimi has worked on his "time management" so that he can divide his time between work and family. "I wake up and work out at 5:00, the kids wake up at6:00, then I go out and do my work. When I get home, sometimes they’reasleep. If they’re not, after they go to bed I finally have time tohang out with my wife," shared Alimi in a new interview with Hitched Magazine. Reconnecting with Dawn is a top priority as well. "We have a babysitter, and no matter what we go outonce a week," Alimi notes, adding that "we have a dinner date, just the two of us,where we wear nice clothes, drink wine and talk about non-baby-relatedthings."

The actor also brings his family to the set now and then to enjoy extra time with them and recently "got my son on camera." Even though Naya "doesn’t know what I do yet … she likes to come to Daddy’s work." The kids have even helped decorate their dad’s trailer with artwork that they gave him for his birthday last month.

"My wife and kids made me lovely paintings with theirhandprints and footprints. I have them hanging in my trailernow — they’re just beautiful. My daughter is really big on birthdaysright now, and she was really excited to make me something special."

Numb3rs airs on CBS at 10 p.m. on Fridays.

I have no idea who he is, but he sounds like a wise person, at least in regards to his family.

  2. Ms.B Says:

Awww his daughter is a cutie!

  3. Alice Says:

I love Numb3rs! I had no idea he had kids! I like what he says about going out once a week with his wife and going back from “parents” to just “couple”.

  4. Alexandra Says:

Hmm..sounds like he and his family are very lucky. I think he’s an amazing actor, and the series, “Numb3rs” would not be the same without him.
