Emerson Drive’s David Pichette Expecting a Daughter
Frank Polich/Reuters/Landov |
David Pichette is about to take a step that no other member of his band Emerson Drive has taken before — fatherhood. David, 31, and his wife Jill are expecting their first child — a little girl — any day now and while they may not know exactly when she will arrive, they do know that she is healthy. The whole experience has given the fiddle player "such another appreciation of life. And the bond that you develop withyour wife, throughout the whole nine months. It just makes me a veryhappy man." Since this will be the first baby for the band, David believes his fellow bandmates are waiting to see how it works for him before they decide to try parenthood on for size themselves.
"I think they’re testing it out on me. They’re going to see how itgoes. Then they’re going to be like, alright, it wasn’t that bad forDave, so… [laugh]."
David and Jill were married May 17, 2008.

Aww, I’m so happy for David and Jill. And yay for injecting a bit of estrogen into all that testosterone band, lol.

Does anyone know where they are from? Is Emerson Drive a famous place?

Beth, they’re from Canada. Emerson Drive comes from Emerson Trail, a road that connects Alaska to Canada. It was thought that one of the original members was conceived on that route

Wow– Mr. Pichette finally let the cat out of the bag publically. I never thought that would happen until sometime after the baby was born.
Its nice that the guys have some time off so David can be with Jill. It will be intersting to see how baby girl Pichette’s “uncles” handle a baby. Give her to Uncle Brad– he’ll change the diapers. He likes to clean!
Hopefully mama and baby stay safe before, during and after delivery.
